Dissembling in process. MotoWorld has ALL the proper tools for the job, including the correct tool for measuring the oil level in the fork, and I am not talking about just a measuring ruler/jug.

The difference in length. The HyperPro springs (bottom) are longer, denser and more tightly winded.

Check out the density of the springs. Please note that the HyperPro is slightly smaller in overall diameter.

Close up of the springs ….

General feeling:

The HyperPro springs was fitted at 28185km. The springs are firmer than the OEM.

1 UP riding:

Small bumps are definitely better absorbed by the new springs. . The bike brake better but it can be due to the new oil inside. The braking distance is back to original standard, comparatively it was spongy previously since about 25,000km. I should have change out the OEM fork oil then. The front gets heavier now in the new springs, so there is a new level of confidence when riding. In fact, it gets very heavy. The feeling is good and generally the same for all speed.

2 UP riding:

The feeling for 2 UP has a big difference in feel. The front seems to have the same feel as 1UP, but the bump absorption is the same as 1 UP too. Need getting used to. Definitely an improvement here. You can feel that they are very busy working down, its nice to know that the springs are absorbing all the small bumps on the road. At high speed, the springs stiffen up and it gets bumpier, this is the main difference between 1UP and 2UP. I still can feel they are there and working very hard to absorb small bumps.

General feeling:

The bike handles better at all speed.

The springs seems to love to get stuck on the road.

When I go over a road hump, the difference is just after the hump. The original springs is better absorbing the impact of the hump, whereas the hyperpro is better at absorbing the impact after the hump.

The hyperpro doesn’t goes up a hump and come up. You don’t have those kind of feeling. They goes up and you don’t really feel the coming down part.

It just love to get stuck to the road.

For big bumps, holes, humps, at medium/high speed, instead of getting a “loud thud” when going over them in the OEM springs, I get a uncomfortable “going up/down feel” and that’s it! .

Conclusion:

After riding it for about 60km, am I going to recommend it?

YES! However, if you know me, I don’t write a review and stop there. It will be a continuous process, like a reality show so to speak.

However, I do recommend that you change out your OEM fork oil at every 20,000km. The reason is that I do feel that the OEM fork oil will thin out by then, will cause the front to wobble at certain speed. I know I had been experiencing such an issue around 25,000km. Maybe that is why I skidded during an emergency braking at low speed. I think the front spring totally compressed and cause my front to lose traction, forcing me to turn and skid.

I recommend Maxima SC1. Runner up product is C0ckpit Shine. Third is Good-old Armor-All.

i was applying leather "protector" or etc on my seat. it sort of like a wax or etc. anyway, the story is i accidently apply a spot on my black box. the color like not bad. so i apply the whole box. the color of the black box seems nice and "new". i try a few more time. then i apply some the the front fender of the bike. the effect is not bad. the next time i know, i am applying it to all plastic. hehe...

well, i guess it does protect the plastic.

Use Maxima's (SC1) spray! Highly recommended. Does a good job on plastics and shines like new.
