yup..thats depend on day or nite of riding too...ever hit 70 plus on day riding(clear road).

hey dudes! Guess what?! More problems with my engine agaiN! First it was the rectifier, now its the piston and now the bearing. Damn it man. One after another. Terrible turn of events for me. Pray for me and my bike man. Its seriously a terrible way to start as a new rider. Pain in my heart and pain in my pocket too.

I'm going to get my license soon.. and i'm very very keen in getting a Aprilia RS125.. preferable the SR125 Harada version.. I think come out in 98.. So i am appealing to anyone who has tat bike or any old Aprilia RS125 to sell to me.. If not, can recommend any good shop to buy?? I looking for shops tat haf Aprilia RS125 only.. 2nd hand..

 

Sorry, i'm a newbie so i need the help of you guys.. And i'm willing to give a high downpayment for any private seller!

dun listen to the mechanic la

 

sometimes its clutch rattle but they say piston noisy

 

bearing.... spoil den change la, gonna be same price anyway

clutch plate will loosen after some time and at first i also tot it was my piston.....

 

go to a reputable mech , try first motor SAM , he is good , he wont anyhow chop ppl, unlike one particuar shop in gelyang tat try to chop me 500+ saying my coil KO, in reality only spark short...

 

wat bearing u mentioning??? conrod bearing , steering cone beaaring, gear balancer, or wat.... if shop offering to sell u second hand parts then i bring u to scrape yard buy parts then bring to mech to install , very much cheaper tat way...

get from shop also no gurantee of good quality aprilia minimum price from shop is ard 2.5k for a fq plate ... not worth it... get an aprilian down with u to view from private seller.... price from private seller should range from ard 1.2 -2k depending on age and paint wk plus engine condition...

 

buy from private seller then spend some $$$ to recon it , eg engine overhual, change piston, chain , tires, etc also cheaper than get from shop.. shop is u get wat u see, anything not my problem(shop motto)... :giddy:

I'm in the same boat. Also just got an old bike and going to send it for full service. Pple have given me various levels of feedback on the condition of the engine from the way it sounds. Sending to workshop later today to get a confirmed diagnosis. Fingers will be crossed. Happy biking..

jinhanz> just take note that the front wheel has been changed. It's a 3 spoke wheel off a pre Y2k bike which could indicate some kind of accident but with the AS NEW bodywork I'd assume it was minor or simply just wheel damage due to a pot-hole etc. The single seat unit is darn nice.

Hey dudes! Just got an update on my bike - Apparently it was the Engine Block alongside my Rectifier..... sigh..... So now looking out for a 2nd hand Engine Block and rectiifier. Hey Cheng_Xi! You still have those up for sale?

sold my rectifier to christine for $30.. her voice too swt la.. can't bargain.. haha... i have a soft spot for swt voice.. anyway.. i still have the block.. the below got scratch but still usable.. wilson say de.. u wan? call mi den.. by this sat everything should be settled...

Juz wanna ask u guyz ... do you all riders encounter being knock by a car purposely....

I was travling towards B.Reservoir... This Maroon Hyundai Matrix was also at the junction waitng to turn right into the pocket... i went into the pocket 1st... den this car goin in also but behind mi purposely knock mi... & steered away to the left... n went straight........ btw its a right turn lane... nutin on mi bike but this feelin of hatered boils inside... wat the hell is he tryin to do.... i'm still a new rider wif P-plate n he does this ... Didnt want to find any trouble... so juz continue wif mi journey.... I HOPE THE CAR WILL CRASH SOON..... I HOPE GOD WILL PUNISH HIM FOR HIS SIN!!!
