Woo hoo! Eyz is the man! Haha ur forks damn cool lah bro

I second that :thumb: I thought it would be hard to top his Ohlin-esque gold-anodised ones, but these carbon-look ones are pretty impressive, and would be loads cheaper than anodising too! I'm tempted, but wonder if I can be bothered, hurhur.

What's a good source of aftermarket parts for the RS250?

ps. i checked up the laws regarding my paintwork, and it's too shaky to fight really, so i'm planning on a new paintjob.

I'm keeping the red and white, i think it's lovely. Maybe just a change of the wordings/logos and numbers.

its a risk having those paintwork-lets put this in,have you ever seen a red and white van (cigraette supplier)they sell, yet they are not allow to display the word,so same goes to bike...its just lucky for you that the white mouse don stop you...maybe they have slacken on it......but i can say that your bike with MARLBORO is damn cool!cheers!

it's pretty easy if ya do it without removing ya fork..

just measure the part of ya fork where ya wanna stick.. and cut the film a little bigger..

when ya done, just use a pen knife and remove the excessive..

pretty simple..

this CF fork is more for the WP look.. just lacking a sticker to complete the look

haha

anyway, here is a breakdown of my costs:-

1) UniOpal 20W Fork Oil from Lawrence (Price to be revealed by the man himself)

2) Athena Fork Seal Aftermarket (24$ from FJT)

3) Aprilia Dust Cover (40$ for a pair from Mah Motor)

4) Carbon Fibre Sticker (25$ from Aunty Shop

5) Pylox Metallic Graphite Spray (3.5$ from the paintshop nearby of Aunty shop)

The aftermarket fork seal is quite good. I can't find any dust cover from Ideal and FJT. Suddenly I thought Mah is the dealer and went down to check. And true enough, they got it. They got the OEM fork seal which they quoted 40$ per piece. But I think it's should be in pair. I'll check again with them next time when I change fork again! haha

Anyone got a leaking fork? I'll be glad to let this off.

raf, save the money..

just print a 'o' and paste it over the 'a' in Marlboro

then it become Morlboro

that's it.. which Morlboro company is going to sue you..

the authority is suing you for advertising for which cigarette company?

haha jus a word game..

I think our calipers are Brembo (though etched with Aprilia logo, just like Porsche does on their cars) but I don't think our master cylinders are. Anyone can confirm?

I'm not riding an Aprilia actually. Bought a master brake pump from an RS125 to fit on my SM DRZ. A 1mm bigger piston really does wonders for a 2 pot caliper! :thumb: Wondering what make it was that's all. :D

However since its 2nd hand, the lever is kinda beaten up. Juz wanna replace it with a new one but will slice the lever short for 2 finger braking.

I'll do something like that temporarily, although i don't like it at all. I'm planning on something more personalised =)

Anyone got a good painter to recommend?

dun see how 'O' can stick over "a", think i look more like '8' liao o_O

but its a great idea to start with... maybe not 'o' over 'a', maybe a 'd' over 'o'... so become Marlbord..

alternatively and ideally, is but a spare fairing and keep the marlboro fairing for track or even as a display feature at home... cost wise definitely cheaper den having a new paint job, while still having a spare set of fairings. fairing a relatively cheap, 2nd hand one cost about $200+/- $50. plain paint job cost $300 to customise design $800 over.

The gathering isn't bike specific at all. Actually only two people in the group own aprilias and they're not even our primary rides. A mixed bag of ppl bikes etc. Just a group of people who love all types of bikes and all types of riding.

Sometimes only a few ppl turn up and other times we have 15-20ppl. Not sure about tonight though because there was an bike accident recently and a female rider (friend of one of the ppl in the group) was killed. :(

Should be atleast 4-5 of us.
