ok **** im getting worried. i started reading up on this piston seizure thing since the latest hype abt it. lately(past 2 days i tink) the bike has been quite hard to start in the morning. even with choke on the engine can die =0 and the bike is abit sluggish. i THINK i dun feel the pull of the valve opening anymore. or maybe im just used to it. i can still hear that high pitched buzzing sound ard 8k rpm though(which should be the sound of the valve opening rite?) should i be worried? pls tell me nths wrng. the last thing i wana hear right now is our bro sub zero here telling me "i told u so". haha. id kick my own balls if i f**k up my bike man.

Can very well just be your spark plug?

 

Tell tale signs of piston seizure is usually sudden

 

1) you're riding and immediately d bike engine brakes ALOT. (get ready to tow, if you tink u can start n continue riding it, you're lucky not to change your block)

2) d bike doesnt start no matter how you beg it. (u'll start begging afta u've done everything u can possibly tink of to make it start) - yeap definitely tow!

my personal recommendation, learn how to diy these minor jobs urself... will save u alot of cash n earn u alot of satisfaction =)

stock jets main 160 idle 40 will be inside the carb

extra spare jets NO

actually i juz serviced the bike 2 weeks ago. Juz went for a long ride yesterday. The bike seems like its riding fine. No excessive vibrations or anyth. Feels smooth. Juz that in the morning its reali a ***** to start the bike. start alr must open throttle for 1 min. if nt bike sure die. Also if use choke the bike will become mosquito fogging machine. Duno ah theres only so much i can guess without opening the bike up. Maybe this wkend i'll do it. Been so busy lately dun even haf time to wipe the bike.

 

The strange thing is this problems started happening since i go jb to top up petrol. Before this i ony top up sg vpower. nw i use esso F1 in jb. Maybe the bike spoilt brat oready ah. ony wan vpower. i give other fuel nw he throwing tantrum. lol

Find a bolt or screw or somethin dat has same diameter as d fuel outlet under d tank, stuck it in after taking out d fuel hose.

 

Or you can get d quick release tingy available at PJME dat saves you all d trouble in d future.

Yours is the newer facelift model right..? Just unplug the vacuum and fuel hoses from below the tank and u can remove it alrdy i guess. Best not to tilt the tank vertically. I did that and some petrol started dripping.

U can actually juz turn ur fuel valve to close setting n unscrew e part of e fuel tank tts connected to ur bike at e seat area. From there, u can disconnect e fuel hose safely n e whole tank can come off giving u access to ur whole engine area

U can actually juz turn ur fuel valve to close setting n unscrew e part of e fuel tank tts connected to ur bike at e seat area. From there, u can disconnect e fuel hose safely n e whole tank can come off giving u access to ur whole engine area

 

bro i dun think the 06 models and above has a fuel valve... tink im juz gona find sth and jam it into the fuel tube like shaas_no1 said. btw wana check wif u guys(for those who diy). do u guys replace the gasket for the power valve each time u open to clean it up?
