jokes aside, i was looking thru the nsr and krr forums just now. I dont want to be a freakin prick but i cant help but laugh when i read through some posts. it seems that the solution to every problem is to "service carb" and "send to shop go and reset settings"(???) It makes me thankful that there are people in the aprilia forums who have done their homework and know what they are talking about and are actually a superb source of info if anyone ever needs some. So to anyone who has every helped me i would just like to say a very big thank u =)

What is 'reset settings'? Do they mean the carb can come alive and change its own jets?

Don't worry you're not alone.Most of the time outings are on fri nights which i can't come due to workin morning next day.Need at least 7-8 hours of sleep..

Today, against the advice of a few people, i went to WEDA and got myself some smaller jets to play around with, together with some cheap plugs(for plug chops). Most important piece i got was a b38 idle emulsion tube/pilot jet(wanted a b36 bt they didnt have it in stock) Ive been told not to down size from the stock b40s but i went ahead with my gut feeling. And what do u noe. My bike runs a hell load better! Theres wayy less bogging at d 5-6k rpm mark and d bike feels alot lighter nw when cruising. Gona pop in a b36 when i can get my hands on one. Just goes to prove d point that every bike would require diff settings and jet selections and what might work for one bike might not necessarily work for another.

hey someone is selling a 32mm carb. wats the difference in 32mm and 34mm performance wise?

 

Dell'Orto makes a few 32mm carbs, but not specifically for our bikes. Is it a R4695 PHF 32DD, R6830 PHBE 32HS, R9274 VHSA 32GS?

30mm, 32mm are both good sizes to use with our small capacity 2-stroke single cylinders. 34mm is the largest you can go, any larger and the power gain is no longer significant.

 

Any of the above mentioned carbs, if sold 2nd hand should not cost over S$200.

u didnt noe ah bro. Bikes have this special button. U press it and the settings will all reset to perfect setting. But only a mech at a bike shop can access and press this button

Yea man! The feeling is awesome. Makes all those hours sitting in front on the bike and getting my hands dirty worthwhile =) The sense of satisfaction is waaaay greater than paying money and getting someone else to do it. =)

I'm going to bring in some OverBoard waterproof backpacks from a online discount store.. Locally they're selling it at about $100 or more so for the 25l model.. I'm getting it at about SGD$80 with shipping. Comes only in black for now though.

 

Just doing an interest check to see if anyone else is interested and I'll bring in some extra for you guys too.. =)

Have your makan where you can see your bikes then.I always frequent these 2 places, Banafe and ABMH restaurant.these 2 places ur bikes are guaranteed safe.if I want to wash my bike n makan at the same time, I go Banafe.if want to watch football, ABMH.last month I even park my bike and told the staff to look after my ride while I go have lunch at plaza pelangi which is across the road.im thinking of organizing a jb trip on one sat nite.what say you guys?

Hi guys, I'm a new Aprilian rider, I got a brand new Rieju rs2 125 pro and regretted it so much, after 2 weeks I got rid of it, and today I just got a very good looking 09 Aprilia RS125. Got it at I-Motoring, everything looks superb, first time I set eyes on it I thought it was brand new. Fellas told me the previous owner was a female rider, and it has only clocked in 18000km, thing about the bike is the previous owner kept her old number plate so it's FZ6152Y(I think...), have you guys ever seen the bike on the road?

8600 for the machine, I found it a steal really considering the condition of the bike...Apart from the Rieju looking weird, which is subjective to different peoples' taste, it's sooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow. Top speed I've ever gotten to on the bike was 110, and that was like after a looooong time on the expressway. :S

Not for the past few years. The best in my humble opinion is Replica Spray Painting. Located at Kallang Industrial Park. Ah koon does an awesome job.

 

Even Minerva send their bikes to sprayed there, enuff said. Exceptional work for a reasonable price given the quality.

Thanks for the second opinion.. I've always sent it to Yeow Motors for my spray painting works, and they haven't failed me so far. Of course, I usually give them at least a week from the time I dropoff the item to be sprayed, till collection. Always check the quality when collecting, and you can give them your feedback if the work is unsatisfactory. They will redo the work.
