I'll be rather free next week, strength check for a bike wash and dinner on Friday, 1st April and dinner at a location to be decided.

Can be dinner then wash or wash then dinner, time should be around 8pm to accommodate more people.

Will probably proceed with any number of people as a wash is just, a wash need no expertise really.

Bring your own bike care products or arrange to share.

Venue:

Jalan Membina(need to check the Mscp block no.)

Time: 8-10pm(?)

Viknesh, how's the progress for the mass order?

Ashraf, are you using your K&N pod? Can feedback on sound and tune? Would like to try it on my bike, perhaps get it from you.

Brand new head fairing $600plus. Suggest you get it patched up and resprayed. Less than half the cost. :)

Thanks Sub Zero - I'm thinking about that too. Tried googling patching but couldn't really judge how it would look. I know I shouldn't expect anything perfect but would it be very visible on a black head fairing?

Also I'm staying near Seragoon - any bro can recommend a good shop which can patch the crack? I'm not very familiar with the shops around here ...

A good repair job won't show up after paint. You can even do it yourself.

1st)the 2011 has a mini turbo charger, and uses carbon fibre rims, so as to reduce unsprung weight

2nd)rs125 quite hard to -maintenance- but if buy brand new the tools at the boot can fix anything

-3ND-)buy 1st hand must look out for like, vehicles that travel on the same road.

please ignore them!! :)

..the ones they referring to with the mini turbo n CF wheels are the Type R model...they are IDM (Italian Domestic Models) :p

i believe u looking more for the local road going "chicken rice" version..

1st) u go webbie and search Aprilia RS125 2010 and then u search 2011 Aprilia RS4 125...go spot the difference..

2nd) i dunno how to answer this part, its subjective, for me, to own a smoking hot Italian is worth every penny.(this is my 4th RS i've owned)

3rd) this part u have to wait till someone here gives u a decent logical n sensible answer...most of them here have intoxicated mind from inhaling too much synthetic fumes so their replies might sound a little fuzzy wuzzy.. hahaha..

cheers

Do you necessarily need to go to a shop nearby or get your work done at a top notch place? :)

I strongly recommend Replica Spray Painting. They do an excellent job, located at kallang i believe. Go down with your bike, and get a quote. You wont see anything after they patch and respray your head fairing. It'll be perfect. :)

Btw, the carb you want has the price including VAT which we dont have to pay.

Just fyi vik, when i ordered my carb from pjme, the listed price is the price i paid, even though it states that price is incl of VAT and i was already told(via email) that the price will automatically exclude VAT at the checkout page. All other items were automatically excluded from VAT except for the carb at the checkout page. Just for u to take note ah.

Singapore really needs more hardware stores with english speaking people. Im so freaking pissed at the ah peks and PRCs manning these stores(no offense to anyone, juz the hardware shop people) I was looking for a contact cleaner. Im not exaggerating this but i seriously went to 10 hardware stores today to look for it. That and canned compressed air.

One aunty even gave me magic clean wipers, coz when she asked whats that i said its for cleaning stuff. -_-" The last shop i went to was the best. There were 4 people there, all helped to try and figure out what a contact cleaner was. When they couldnt, the called out the big gun, the boss of the shop. I was thinking ok ah got hope. Bt turns out the boss(an old ah pek) didnt know better. he even said "oh contact cleaner i dun haf ah. Thinner can?" i was like wtffff. So i said nvm, turned around to leave and heyy guess what i saw on the shelf. The contact cleaner labelled cleary "CONTACT CLEANER" in bold. -_-"

Can anyone recommend me good hardware shops with a large inventory of items and with staff who knows their stuff and most importantly speak proper english?

Btw these are the stuff i bought. The compressed air can looks good. the pressure is quite high. Bought it at challenger btw. $14.90. For those who are wondering im gona use this to clean my carb.

And these are the real life pics of the tools i bought for my problem. Juz fyi. Anyone who might need to use them can contact me. I'll even help u out, for a small fee of a glass of teh tarik =)

Bro, today I went down to Shaw Centre, and I found a well stocked hardware store whose owners spoke fantastic English! The store is great. I walked in and said aloud to myself 'I think I'm in Heaven', to which the lady boss responded with a chuckle 'I'm pretty sure Heaven's better than this, dear boy'. It's not a very big store, but I literally walked around for a good hour. They have everything from a tomohawk (I **** you not) to allen keys the size of your thighs to katanas (which do not belong in a hardware store, but still). I spent $50 in the first 5 mins... after that I had to control myself.

It's called Handyman Centre F.E. Pte. Ltd., on 1 Scotts Road, #04-06/07, Shaw Centre. Contacts are 67377815, 67379592. Email is [email protected]. On the bottom of the card that I took it says they may relocate in the future, but all contact details will remain the same.

If you don't know where Shaw Centre is, it's beside, well, Shaw Towers I think it's called, the one with Isetan and the cinema. You can actually connect through Isetan on the fourth floor to get to Shaw Centre. Go the the corner where the sporting goods are and you'll find a linkway. It's on the right once you get off the escalator.
