For 2006 onwards :]

I have the older one, it's bigger. $100, and it's yours. :)

Plus a spare radiator for sale too.. In case anyone fell and damaged theirs. :)

Eh, how can you diss my new bike so indiscriminately... Just because it has a Piaggio engine doesn't mean it's a scooter. It still looks fast when I use it for marketing...

Derbi engine you mean? :) Will get it to teach my son how to ride probably. Looks so nice, runs like a turtle.

Aprilia RSV4 stock output is claimed at 14.8bhp ..u can opt for the 28bhp model.. n there be loads of options for it ..

it will still be the 1 to beat in the 4stroke 125 class,if u want it to match anything more then a 125cc,opt for the 180 block...

theres no replacement for displacement...

The RS125 has a claimed out of 34bhp. In reality however, a well tuned stock bike would be lucky to be putting out 28bhp. So my advice is not to put too much hope on the power output of this bike. The replacements for the 125GP bikes, the GP spec Moriwaki MD250H is said to be putting out 33bhp. So i think its abit too much to say that the RS4 will put out 28bhp, even with a bbk. I'll just add, for information sake, that a well tuned RS125 with a few goodies can easily put out 33bhp. I'll also just add that a GP spec 125cc puts out about 55bhp. So its safe to say that four strokes are inferior(power wise), at least in the small displacement category.

Im sorry if i sound very angsty, but im totally against the idea of putting a small displacement engine in a sportsbike outfit. wan fuel economy use wave lah. Whats the point of having a nice looking bike with all the blings in the world when a Honda C70 can eat you without breaking a sweat? I consider myself a bastion of the 2-stroke technology, and seeing Aprilia taking this step backwards saddens me alot. Im hoping, no, praying, that some dude in Europe will put in a 2-stroke engine in this bike so it does honour to the beautiful RSV design. Coz its a hell of a nice looking bike. Destroyed only by the idiots who decided that a 125cc 4-stroke engine *pui* would be the soul of this beauty.

Ashraff, I fully agree with you. But the sad thing is Aprilia decided to conform to the Euro emission standards and produce a bike for pussies. No matter how nice it looks, I doubt i'd ever buy one even if I was a new rider. You'd get creamed by almost any bike. When the R125s 1st came out, there was so much of hype.

Our resident, semi retired racer, Icez, with his y2k model RS125, with 28mm carb and standard exhaust finished off a fully modded R125 with malossi BBK, air filter, leovince exhaust, the works!!! 2nd link was the test ground, and the R125 didnt stand a chance even with 180cc. Haiz.. 2 strokes are coming to an end. It's sad... Let's all hang on to our pocket rockets. :) That's why i'd let never go my RS125.. Lawrence, and I, we've seen so many people come and go. So many posers, so many pretenders who proclaim their love for Aprilia RS125, in the end, they upgrade, and they forget. I would never sell my RS125. In fact, my RVF is still laid up because I cant curb my spending spree for the RS125... Luckily, i'll be done soon. My last 2 major goodies will be in by August.. Then I'll move on to my next project. Hehe.

PS. To say you're a bastion of 2 stroke technology is not entirely accurate. Are you trying to say you're a pillar or fortress of 2 stroke technology? I think a more appropriate word would be 'advocate' or 'supporter' of 2 stroke technology. :) LIKE ME... Weeeeee!!!

Haiz what to do. Ive had my fair share of temptations, like parents offering to subsidise a car and many friends who are riding class 2 bikes. But i decided to stick with my Aprilia. Like u said, one day its gona be extinct, so i think it would be a good investment to keep our 2-stroke babies.

Anyway, its not so much of what a bastion IS, its more of its purpose, that is, a structure built for defence. And yes, i do consider myself a defender of 2-strokes =)

omg i just went for my first run in almost a year. and i think im going to die. my legs are so heavy. my chest feels so tight. phew. i really nd to cut down on ciggs.

i dosent sound safe. is it? what if a car suddenly jam brakes in front of u on the highway. is the lock designed for quick release? or maybe the correct question is would u be able to react fast enough to

1)release the lock

2)apply you brakes correctly and not just jam it?

IPPT?

Yes, precisely why I stopped using it.

It's only useful for Europe/US/other large continents where you have hundreds of miles of straight open road. There are cheap throttle locks that lock the throttle and you have to manually twist the throttle to close, there are also others that automatically disengage when you change the position.

The links to all the above mentioned types are here:

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

Vik and Law, as promised, here is Part I of my dirt bike experience at Tristan Park. I loved almost every minute of it. If you think two-stroke 125cc road bikes are fun, you're going to love two-stroke 200cc dirt bikes. When the power band hits, your rear rips up the dirt and slides all over the show. Makes you feel like a fcking superhero. Until of course you crash :D

We should go together sometime. All the information you need can be found at Tristan Park's website (www.tristangroup.com/).

I admire you guys who've stuck to your two-stroke RS125s for years. I love my bike but honestly I love the idea of a V-twin or V-four MUCH more. The RS125 will always be my first bike, but I will frankly let it go without too much worry when the time comes to upgrade. I'm already loving the predicted look of the upcoming Ducati 1199

yoz! the claimed 28bhp is not on the BBK.. its on a 125cc .. the 180cc block doesnt state any output claims because.... u be in for a surprise or a shocker on this one..

wont say much here till she pass the LTA stuff and all..

on the Moriwaki GP250..33bhp...hmmm thats actually the est claim bhp for a stock 250 4T bike which is not surprising if the Moto3 bikes are all running on the Honda CBR 250 single cylinder engine..i believe ultimately they will be tuned to a higher state depending on Moto3 rules..how many engine they are entitled throughout the whole season and how much power can the single cylinder takes before it expires. its an entirely new thing for all teams racing..the Moto2 teams running on 600 had the WSS for reference,Moto3 doesnt... Moto2 when first presented claim a modest 126-128 bhp while WSS bikes are putting out mid 130 plus bhp..the reason for it.. restriction of number of engine in a race season..

Yea bro. It's the definition of a good time. :thumb:

They provide decent riding gear FOC: helmet (but you need to bring your own sunglasses or goggles - I recommend the latter if you want to avoid stone/bugs smacking your cheeks at speed), gloves (ripped up, but good enough for dirt riding), elbow and knee pads. They recommend a long sleeve top, cargos/jeans and decent shoes.

I went with my own dirt helmet, goggles, top and dirt boots (all purchased at Profile Asia, 139 Jalan Besar). I definitely do not recommend going in anything less than hiking boots - I had two friends with me that both ruined their Nike running shoes from repeated kick-starting. The kick-starter is like a freaking grating machine!

As for guide, I think it's mandatory. The area is HUGE. We rode around for three hours and didn't use the same area twice! Apparently he has another whole three-five hour trail that he says he will show us next time.

Man, I was always touch-and-go with the whole two-stroke powerband - always whinging about wanting low-end torque etc. But for dirt riding, I think I genuinely love the two-stroke way of life. I cannot imagine what a 300cc or higher two-stroke will do at 3rd gear in the powerband.

Hey guys anyone needs/wants to overhaul their bike? We talked about doing it together back then, i dunno or have you all done it already??

Koon, Caleb and Chris (iirc) are interested to overhaul their bikes themselves. Since Ashraf already intends to do so, we can have 4 bikes overhauling at once. Imagine the photo opportunity! haha...

We just need to start early though, so we can work through any issues carefully. We should start opening the bikes at 7.30am, daybreak. Then we have ample light for working through the day. We should aim to finish by 3-4pm. If we need to extend the time, we have 3 hours extension until sunset.

LOL "

If not could we have an overhaul meetup? cause id like to learn from those that have more experience in this area too :D

Borrow someones cam, find a good sheltered lighted area, and can update our

ARC DIY Pictorial Series : How to do a top/bottom overhaul

I can reccommend my sheltered carpark, theres a free water source, and great lighting even at night, very little people at the top sheltered level and doing my bike there i make quite abit of noise in the middle of the night sometimes no one has complained yet.

Yup, can fit all models.. And it's better too. Bigger, more air being pushed into your carb. A friend used it in his 09. He gave good reviews.

Sure.. 50% discount for ARC forum members. So you should know what to do. :)

Nvm.. i already found it and it's FREE :D . Eh , u know where got sell the pipecross panel filter ? bcoz the original panel filter became ashes already.
