umm this is incorrect. it wont work for the new aprilia with the PIAGGIO cdi. if u open up ur seat and see that theres 2 "cdi"(one is ur rave unit the other is the cdi) then ur cdi can be modded.

anyway if ur interested in a racing cdi i have one which i might want to sell. its the HPI dual map cdi

Any idea amongst post-06 model which year has Piaggio CDI and which one with '2 CDI' ??

hey guys!

I'm an ex-Yamaha RXZ rider.

I sold my bike after testing my friends RS125 a few weeks back.

The handling of the bike was solid. I really love the feeling.

I wanna ask how frequent must I service( block, piston, carburetor etc) the bike?

N wat engine oil and 2t should i use. Im getting mine maybe in november.

Hahahaha... Mate, can you bring me around to Regina to see suits sometime in August? Need your expert opinion. I'm not familiar with Astars products!

Sure bro. I live close enough to walk there, so just let me know when.

Am finally in LA.

Going to rent a Ducati and ride to the Grand Canyon for some shutter time with my camera.

Miss you guys.

That's so weird. I was just sent this link for a Ducati 1098S rental in Vegas. I'm heading up there in Sept and initially expressed some interest in doing a few laps in one or more supercars (Vegas Speedway), and got reminded about the option for renting bikes as well.

You will need to debrief your rental experience and the Canyon ride upon your return. Ride safe! Post pics here when you can. We need to be more like the Ducati forum guys - more pictures!

Hi there..

Are serious on the mileage?? The best I could get is 300+ but you got it for 600??

Maybe you could try again this time and make sure you reset the mileage and update us.. Can?

i tink he talking about 2T oil, not petrol. The stock 2T pump setting can make ur 2T oil go a long way. Back when i was riding often, i took about 2mths to get through a bottle of 2T. So yeah 600ish should be right.

Mr Vyruz,

You're welcome to kick my arse anytime. i welcome it! Especially at track .

Ashraff, I read your words were they were deleted. I'm not going to waste time with the bike parts stealing thief who cheats on his wife anymore.

I'll just give a taste of his own medicine.

In other things.... Why did you go back to double ring?? I thought you told me you're only going to use it temporarily?

Grrrr... you get me all excited about single ring, tell me you wont go back, and now you did a 180 degree turn!

Im not making a 180! its just that circumstances and money is an issue for me. Im gona be ordering a single ring vertex soon, but i still am not sure when to fix it up.

I stand by my words. Ive tried the single ring piston AND double ring piston on the same barrel. With the single ring, the revs are way way lighter. It shoots up super fast and if ur on stock sprocket ratio, u will find that u'll be going thru the gears very quickly. Double ring from what i noticed seems to be able to hold on to the top rev better. as in i can WOT on idle and the rev will stick to 12, but on the single ring it was fluctuating. But no doubt the revs dun climb up as fast as the single ring. Maybe its a tuning issue i dont know. Also, the flat top single ring that i used didnt like constant revs at all. Riding on the expressway was abit of a pain. It would sputter if held at a certain rpm for too long. So i found myself playing with the throttle alot.

So i think that ive come to a conclusion that has been well known. For road use, its better to go with a double ring. However ive personally felt the power of the single ring, and like i said, if ur in for performance, u'll never look back at double rings, so im gona order one and keep it and i'll change it when the right time comes.

Oh btw i eat my words regarding the HPI cdi being the same as std. Its awesome, with the proper tuning.

Im really not sure of this bro. the only way i know is to just look under the seat. Im confused because apparently the newer models come with the piaggio cdi, but mines an 09 model but with the rave unit and cdi.

Generally single ring pistons have much less friction against the barrel thus its easier to rev up. Because of its less friction attribute, u will find it a breeze to revs up or down.

However, this actually acts as a double edge sword. As it is very responsive to slight changes in the combustion (Combustion happening in the cylinder is never the same. Air, fuel, mixture of both, spark voltage is not constant), thus u will find that it hard to cruise with all the sputtering. And as double rings is much less responsive, the changes in combustion is negated bythe extra friction (slower reving up also meant slower reving down).

But with all the being said, the performance gained is SWEETTTT.

Oi this time I left some of my two-stroke sound in the background. Turn up your speakers and watch in HD :) If I didn't have music, most viewers would stop watching after the first 10 seconds I think! Gotta keep them wanting more with musicality. Plus music makes it sound like I'm going faster and am more dramatic than I actually am.

Try downloading and experimenting with the trial version of Cyberlink's PowerDirector 9. I had no idea of how to edit videos a couple of months ago, but PowerDirector made it all very easy. It's all pretty straightforward but can be very time-consuming if you want to do various video transitions and match the music and video bits manually. I spent pretty much all of my Friday night and Saturday daytime compiling the last one. The thing that was really getting on my nerves was that every time you changed one part of the video (e.g. shorten it, lengthen it, add transition, change transition time etc), the entire video would be out-of-sync with the music and you'd have to change it all again. And if you're impatient and click every button you see while your PC is making the changes you asked for, the program will crash and you'd have to re-do things you did before. :slapforehead:

no i wont wanna get too complicated and stuff.. i just want the part where i crashed n post it up on my site..hahaha.. the hall of fall...n for the 1st time i have a vdo up for a race,rd 3 ..some guys have seen it n u must too... breaks yr heart to see the RS125 gets a taste of japanese bike acceleration...even the RS with the racing ignition couldnt get close to them but he did shave like 3-4 secs off his timing...the last bike was a RS n he got overlap by the 1st place KR.. :(

u going Vegas... can u like ask them for my USD$900 i left behind last year... :p and the teenage ebony & ivory hanging around the gaming area going for a "bargain" at USD$200 each.. DUH!

oh ya ..wanna try a sunday trackday ? this month end 31st July.. try it! its another exp altogether and u def need earplugs..

you sold ur bike because you want to buy a rs125? i am not as experience the old birds here. i am a new rider.i am talking about first hand. first 4000km i service my bike every 800km.when i reach 4000km i ask the mechanic to wash the crab for me. each servicing is $50 plus. rs125 has no engine oil.only gear oil. i use agip gear oil and agip speed 2t. hope by then november rs4 125 is not in yet.because that 4 is a 4 stroke bike. =D

:) No thanks Larrentino. I like being on the track with as little traffic as possible.

That's good. Washing a crab can be quite gross :D Sorry, I know it's a typo but I just had to!!

vyruz,

Thanks for the link. Too many choices- Ducati 1098, MV Agusta, RC8, or the Aprilia RSV1000... Can't decide which to get.

Am taking my friend's advice to take the Dodge Viper instead. He's got 3 MVs I can borrow, but it's not everyday I get to drive a muscle car that's proudly made in the United States of America... :)

Hey Guys,

My name is Dionel Desuzer, from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. We are going currently shooting our final year assignment called "Lingkeran Setan". This email is hope that we can garner your support in terms of providing us with 10 Aprillia Bikes.

The shoot will commence this Friday, 22/07/11 from 6pm onwards. We would greatly appreciate if you could provide 10 bikes with the riders in order for us to shoot a scene where bikers are congregating and preparing for a race.

Food and drinks would be provided for the people that are involved and as an incentive, we will credit your bikers names and your association(Singapore Bikes).

As we are pressed for time as well, we would greatly appreciate a quick and positive response from you and hope that we can get the amount of riders needed to shoot for this film.

Thank you.

I hope there're supporters from the aprilia community. I'd like to come down to support, but my ride would seriously stick out like a sore thumb being too colourful. Hahaha..!
