weather: humid but otherwise fine

casualty: muser (overshot the chicane carsh into the gravel), cbr600 (highsided at turn 1 twice and turn 3) and the other malay guy bike (heard he overshot the chicane)..

all are cosmetics damages..

main event: eugene, zx10r, pops a wheelie thats soooo high and sooo fast and soooo long on the straight..

 

other then that..

all is great fun..

 

spoked to Law about this..

we are planning a monthly affair with PG for ARC..

talked to Law, he told that he can opened up his pit for us..

still under planning..

but Law says that its best we go on mondays...

i understand how u feel but den ask urself.. 1st u said u needed to get home for lunch n its waaaay pass lunchtime so we were trying our best to do a fast in fast out.. 2ndly wad if ben follows u all the way behind n in the end u make him n urself lost? n even if me n jieliang cant see u ppls im sure if long enuf u guys dun catch up we will definitely wait aside.. for u guys to come along..

 

to me rain = speed coz i want to get to my destination fast n not slowly move n be a wet puss.. but den when i speed i dun do so blindly n juz hold my throttle open all the way.. when i sense there are obstacles ahead i juz close throttle n get ready my brakes juz in case.. i even keep tapping my front brakes even before aprroaching to ensure tt it isnt soo wet till when i jam it i cant even decrease speed..

 

u still dun get wad i mean frm the overtaking part huh? the drift im getting to is when i filter in n out of traffic at least i can see the cars in front of me, anticipate their next move either choose to brake if i cant make it thru or juz throttle thru if its okay to do so meaning.. im mostly in control.. however.. if cars frm behind keep overtaking u... ask urself.. do u spend more of ur riding time looking at ur rearview mirrors or in front?

 

n bro 1 ting to clarify. conrod bearing lose.. to prolong its life it isnt abt not going fast. compare revving to 13k rpm at gear 1 n 6 - 7k rpm at gear 6 which damages it more? of coz the higher rpm damages it more.. n at 6 - 7k rpm at gear 6 u can travel at an average of 95 - 100km/h oreadi..

n if u noe tt ur engine is in bad shape y tt dae still keep jioing ppl to play pickup?

And you still dont get my point.. I was keeping you guys in my sights.. If he had followed me, i wouldn be cutting and swerving like a mad dog trying to lose him.. he overtakes me and shoots off with you guys.. then how the hell am i going to keep you in my sights when you'll be only seeing Ben behind you? You shoot all the way, speed, then wat if i take a wrong turn off the expressway.. we already went one big round to god knows where before we went JB remember? If i knew the way, i sure relac and come one.. But you should have the responsiblity to keep an eye on a rider who deosnt know the way..

 

If filtering is the way to go for you.. Then it's fine with me.. That is your riding style.. Riding in wet weather above speed limit when leading people is ok with you, well done..

 

Btw bro, my conrod itself is giving me trouble.. Having ridden my bike, i know when it starts sounding funny, when the engine cannot make it.. I really bring my bike beyond 8000rpm.. usually at most 7000rpm..

 

The reason i ask you guys play pickup that one day was i wanted to see whose bike was faster.. Pickup is pickup.. Not pickup then shoot all the way, cut through traffic and fly off.. The minute you guys were in front, by a big margin, i immediately slowed down and close throttle,.. why? coz my question answered.. You and Ben happily shoot ahead some more.. That is racing already not pickup..

 

About ben's overtaking, he did overtake properly.. he was in another lane if i'm not wrong.. this time atleast.. but why the hell must he overtake? tat's my question? I slow down to take a bend, he must overtake is it??

 

I always make sure the guy behind me can see me.. i always check on them.. So why the hell must he be hero?

I too have been searching high and low for a rear shock for my RS250. ok, maybe mine is a bit more rarer than yours but in the end I cannot even find a single 2nd hand one.

 

So I finally decided on a new one. I think WP (Biketech don't wanna reveal price...) and Bitubo price is about the same, whereas Ohlins and Penske are about 20% higher. I went with Bitubo btw. PM me if you want the distributor contact. In fact on his order sheet last month I just saw a RS125 being ordered.

 

$550 for a rear shock on a SPORT bike that need it to fully show her cornering prowess is, to me, well worth it. You can think of the amount you can get back if you decide to sell the shock 1 year later, which I don't think isn't too far from $550.

 

But get Ohlins or Penske for the 'show' factor of course. And better resale.

 

er...how much have you spent on your bike? The amount I've spent (including the bike) can roughly get me a PGM IV now...

YES

Very scary indeed, even taking into consideration its a 2 stroke 250cc bike.

Your RS is doing an equivalent of 10L/100km

 

In comparision

 

A Rex does 9L/100km

 

A Beemer 318i 12L/100km

 

These are 2L machines.

remember when Samuel passed? i jus reach home at 6.05pm after sch.. you guys call and ask me follow y'all out.. i was tired, reluctant, i jus started sch some more.. yet i followed.. all the way to Ntrust, to yck for dinner, and even to khatib even though i was tired.. I followed you all the way to bukit timah once remember? did i ever make a big fuss abt it??

 

Bro, if you not interested in nearby outings, just to meetup and talk for awhile.. then dont bother.. i do try to go other places, that why i even suggest go Chong Pang for Ben's treat when he passed? I know you got bike like me, can go whole of s'pore.. I jus wanna meet some frens nearby, chitchat and go home in peace.. Not interested to come.. dont come la...
