michellins do produce good tyres and i believe should have size for 125.... pilot race 2 and now pilot powers r good but damn ex... its mainly for dry weather... dual compund so its good for long distance and yet suitable for track...

Humm.... Sunday 0200 to 1100....Will let you know.... 1st Dec its on Thursday leh. Morning got to work leh unless you can change it to night time after 7pm. You bike so big leh my vavle so small how to even ha? hee hee! Anyway I think I can wash the valve myself also la ....... If you want morning maybe this Sunday lor.

for rs125 , charging of batt start at 4k rpm... so idling going to drain more electricity..... jus disconnect the batt wiring and off the fuel cork can liao ... actually if 1-2 week dun need to do the above.... cover the bike to avoid rain can liao

hmmm...like that ah... idle engine also won't charge up battery... so what you 2 suggesting is to leave the bike there? & dun start up the engine @ all? am i right? still got any other opinions mah?

wah genna arrow for rounding planing.. ok...set u say one arh...lets go to CCK coffeshop!!!! actually some of us goin down to adams rad to meet our beloved lawrence. adams rd market has really good food!! so hey come down too la! later go rounding!

did view 2 aprilia 125s today and very muchintend to buy one. Howeveer, the 2003 model is quoted at $10k odd whilst the 2005 latest model is at $12k odd!

 

Did a quick question and answer session with the staff and was told that other than the color scheme, both the 2003 and the 2005 are exactly the same.

 

Is this true?

 

I would have thought that the 2005 model costing $2000 more would have either some improved aerodynamics etc amongst others..........cannot be just color change or is it really true that its just the color scheem?

 

If so, wouldn't the 2003 model be the best bet?

 

Also, while at this, can I ask if the pollini kit is a worth while upgrade? does it make sporty everyday riding and commuting more enjoyable? Is it a wothwhile upgrade to improve driveability so to speak?

hmmm...they told me other than the colour scheme..the signal light covers is in white colour for 2005 model whereas 2003 is in orange colour...i guess nothing more than that already? or someone can pls enlighten us?

mnphosis, tis was discussed before as brought up by quiksilver.. if i remembered correctly, quiksilver mentioned that both model are exactly the same, cept for some minor aesthetic changes..

 

as for the polini, there are actually quite a no. of new riders optin out the offer.. guess it's the reliability and the not so clear legality issue...

Yes it's right! The $2000 you pay for is just for the color only. The most reason why difference it's because they are trying to clear the 03 stock first.... Newer model sure more expensive one. And it could be the Ero dollars against sing dollars difference too! Personally I think the best buy now should be the 03 model unless you really like the paintwork of the 05 model so much that you willing to paid $2000 for the paintwork. Alternatively you can save the $2000, use it to respray the bike with the paintwork you like, change the exhaust to arrow and have some money left...... just my two cents worth....

 

By the way, I did sent an email to Aprilia official (in Italy) about the technical spec between these two models and why the prices difference. It has been more than a month but they haven't replied me yet.... don’t know when they going to reply me also.
