There is only one LTA-approved legal Arrow exhaust system. As far as I'm concerned, the model/serial/brand is still a question mark unless Edwin did indeed manage to find out for certain that it's a Gianelli stomach. But there is only one legal Arrow system so there's no way you can get confused at shops.

people riding to sepang, please make sure the following things are done in preparation:

  • make sure you do not have any outstanding issues on your bike - clutch, electrical issues: battery, rectifier, starter motor.
  • if you are due for an oil change soon, change it now. do not wait for after the trip to change your oil.
  • check your sparkplugs. change a new one if it is old (more than 5000km/12 months). Come on, it's not that expensive (and it's just 1). Keep the old one and bring it along the ride as spare.
  • check your coolant level. top up if needed.
  • check your brake pads and fluids. make sure you have sufficient brake pads, and that the brake fluid level is topped up to the correct level
  • check your chain tension. make sure that there is sufficient slack, but not too much. clean and lube your chain.
  • check your tyres. change them if they are old (more than 20,000km/3 years). check the tread wear indicators.
  • decide among friends who will be bringing up chain lube - intend to buy a bottle, bring it there, and then finish it among friends before the return trip.
  • someone with a spare stoplight bulb/signal light bulb, please bring one.
  • have at least the basic toolkit.
  • bring an emergency tyre inflation kit (i'm bringing one - the gooey kind; can someone bring/buy a plug type tyre repair kit?).
  • bring ear plugs. Wear then during the ride.

Anyone else can think of anything to add to the list? Can people bringing up spares please indicate? I am also bringing up a basic toolkit. Cannot overhaul engine so if you seize piston, sorry... :cheeky:

how could i foget:

top your 2t, and also bring a full bottle of 2t along (or more if your consumption is high). it is hard to find good 2t along the NSH, and you may have to use mineral 2t. in any case, mixing 2t is not a good idea, and you might end up with a stuck valve.

Normal maintenance for an Aprilia RS125 is about 2 bottles of 2T($28each)/mth n then the rest depends on ur luck. Valve washing is done about every 2000km n that can be done DIY. If u dont know, i can teach u how to.... it is as easy as ABC. Gear oil ($18)is to be changed every 2000km. Spark plug($9-$13 from Ah Boy) every mth or 5000km whichever comes first.

Wait till I achieve my objective.... I will be back with a more powerful engine and a more sexy bike......

FYI the trip attendees list has closed. And like I have reiterated many times, to call me personally and no one else if you want to join.

Safety is a major concern when you have last minute entries. I hope everyone sees this point.

This is a first time trip to some of us. There are do's and donts in convoy touring that you will never know if you always ride on the street which explains why I need to conduct a briefing.

Moving off timing is a touchy issue. Traffic being the main concern. I totally agree however Nite riding on NSH is just as worse as daytime traffic. Your line of sight is shortened. Your eyes are stressed focussing on the area where your headlights point at. Turning left or right will give you nothing but pure blackness. Looking at your mirrors, you cant even see anything if you are the last person.

The bigger the group, the harder to maintain convoy rules. Here everybody needs to cooperate.

Does any one know how does electronic powerjets works on a delorto VHSG carb

it has a wire on it, I think you could use the switch manually or conect it so that it starts at a certain RPM.
