Dear all,

I have already placed a $1500 downpayment for my 06 RS125.

I'm actually ordering this bike from my bike shop that I used to patronise.

Will be getting it soon. Hope to ride with you guys some day.

And yes, if we do meet up, I may let you guys ride my bike before you guys decide to get your own 06.

Congratulation in advance Seraph :thumb: I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that we can't wait to see your ride. Well, we're all assuming this shop you used to patronise is Mah Pte Ltd; unless you've somehow managed to get a brand new Aprilia from someone other than the official dealer.

Actually Chris, I saw an 06 RS125 sitting outside this job at the junction near Lavendar Court way before going down to Ah Boy.. Could be from there also.

Just saw it yesterday! :cheeky:

Humm .... you might be right after all. Looking at my pic I might have not open my knee wide enough to get my knee down to the road. Think I will try to shift my bud more on the next track session. Thanks for your advice. :cheeky:

My input will be u r not going low enough... go lower and shift your but at least half out of the seat. lap times are more important then lean angles correct but u must be at almost the tyres limit to get good times.

well..

i ever asked spidey, have he ever drag his knees..

his answer," only one or two times but tat not important..."

:cheeky: :cheeky:

i think i ever read..

The laws of physics dictate that when a motorcycle is leaned over, the position of its centre of gravity will heavily influence the lean angle of the motorcycle. As riders, part of our job is to make sure the bulk of our body weight is either running right along the bike's centre-line or, preferably, on the inside of that line. When you sit bolt upright on the bike and go with it when it leans, you would be considered 'neutral' in your effect on the motorcycle. Meaning that, aside from the extra weight you place on the bike (therefore reducing available ground clearance) and its effect on the height of the centre of gravity, you don't have any effect on the motorcycle. This means that at any given speed around any given corner you have a known and quantifiable amount of lean angle required to complete that turn, and that amount would be proportional to the combined weight of rider and motorcycle and the height of the combined centre of gravity.

If however you 'hang off' the motorcycle, you (in theory at least) bring the rider's weight lower and to the inside of the motorcycle's centre of gravity. This means that at the same speed as described above on the same corner as described above, you will need less lean angle to complete that turn. Make sense? This is the major reason why pretty much every racer on the planet 'hangs off' the motorcycle (aside from attempting to look 'cool' I guess...). For maximum benefit the whole shoulder-to-hip line of the rider's weight should be hanging off parallel to the bike's centre-line. ,

Are you saying my bike not going low enough? or me as in person not going low enough? or both?

Well, believe it or not, Ah Boy does have stainless steel brake hoses for all bikes. Here's my review.

but if ya wanna get authentic aprilia parts, no harm trying to ask ah boy.. he shouldn't have a prob getting parts cheaper than us getting it at WEDA..

if we get a valve from WEDA, it'll costs us 230.. racewerk ever quoted mike (if i remember correctly) 180 and most probably they are getting it from WEDA as well..

WEDA ever quoted fibre 130 for the valve over the phone, but the boss changed his price to 230 shortly after he asked where is alex calling from..

ah boy dun make a huge profit margin.. so i think if he's able to get it for us, it'll definitely be cheaper
