Hello, I am a P plate rider (5 months+ since i passed) - currenting riding a scrambler. Am thinking of changing to Aprilia rs125 so need seek your opinion:

- What are the maintenance needed on this bike? On average, how much do they cost monthly / every 3 months?

- Is it a recommended bike for a P plate rider as i heard otherwise? I have never tried a sports bike before...

- What are the things to look out for when riding an Aprilia?

 

To be honest, i am first attracted to teh bike coz it looks great! Not an avid racer or someone who wants to go on high speed... Will i be damaging the bike if i just go on normal speed or does the engine requires revvinggggg to keep it in good shape? Thanks!!

from wat i noe..

-maintenaince as usual, engine oil bla bla bla.. u do the math

-recommended or not is based on yer own personal preference..

-u can look out for yer 2t level? yer valve? its the same as any other bike. only its ITALIAN..

 

from wat i heard is tht u haf to clear yer carbon once in a while or else yer valve might get risks of jamming..

Just read the review of the new RS125 ... sounds really great! Btw, can the rider share front seat with pillion (say the pillion is small build) on the bike? Or it is a very dangerous thing to do so...

not recommend to share the rider seat wif rider & pillion.. but the rider seat is huge i wld say.. but the pillion gotta sit the front part of the pillion seat to get better grip to the rider so wun fly off so easily..

 

the new rs is a beauty.. but expensive to own one.. the machine price already kills you haha.. unless you're a real fan of it.. else i dont really think it's so practical leh.. this is my view la.. no offence..

Yea... i am considering coz intend to buy 1 good bike and not upgrade into 2A... hee... i know not very ambitious lah.. btw, must the engine be revvvvv every day to keep it in good shape? I am not exactly a big fan in racing fast fast.. but would like the agility to react as u know some drivers like to swerve into our lanes...

not really keep whacking ur bike.. but try to clear carbon at least 1x a day wld be gd 4 ur bike.. once valve open liao.. can ride nrml liao.. since you nt intending to get 2a, u can consider.. becos it's a nice bike.. my dream and aim to get one haha.. gd luck.. maybe u can ask those who bought their '06 bought from which person.. can get special price + goodies like full arrow etc..
