Those who have experience riding one this bikes, can YOU COMMENT THE MINUS AND PLUS POINT OUT

As Bajaj Pulsar which year model is good ?

I am looking for

good fc (WHICH BIKE CAN GIVE MORE MILAGE?)

Low maintenance (will any shop repair Bajaj?)

spare parts(easy to get for Bajaj?)

less vibration (at 90 to 110KM/H)

less problematic(like leakage etc)

HANDLING AND COMFORTABLE( WHICH ONE IS GD)

TS... if you're buying first hand, then spare parts & problems shouldn't be an issue... go for pulsar. but must remember to check up on your sprocket. i have a colleague who need to change sprocket, cuz the stock one is crap when travelling at high speed. it may be just him, i don't know... ask around.

if you're buying 2nd hand, go for honda... cuz japanese is still more reliable when we're talking about long term reliability. you might also don't know what did the previous owner do to his bike. so i say go for a honda. it's more of a universal language.

Well.. i have been riding CBF 150 for the past 1.5 yrs and its been serving me well.

Mileage wise is ok for me 10 litres = 440km.

Pulsar do have a bigger tank thus the better mileage is expected.

So do your own calculation andsee if economical mode of bike ur looking for.

I was just like u confused bet Bajaj and CBF when it newly hit the market, but my turning point was the service @ UNiversal, its main distributor.

Take a trip down to the workshop and observe with ur own eyes, and u will understand what i meant.....

Anyway CBF been serving me well and getting its spare parts is a breeze coa being a Japanese brand, it is so easily available in SG n Msia!!

So wat are you waiting for, join the CBF family....you can see loads of it nowadays on the road...so i guess volume speaks for itself ya:cheers:

monoshock vs dual-shock :D

ridden both bike b4. Pulsar for 8mths and loan bike from Boon Siew CBF150 for a few days.

After ridden both bikes, i gotta choose Pulsar for the large fuel tank (either 18L or 20L leh!), styling, build quality & finishings and stability. Bajaj is a heavy 2B bike after Varadero 125? but it is quite stable ride. The vibrations can be annoying at all times. Pls take care of the digital speedo coz it went bonker at the 6th or 7th month i rode it. After replacement of the speedo, the speedo cable/sensor also went bonker also. i tink due to the heavy raining season of 2007.

For CBF, I also enjoyed riding on those few days. But I have nothing much to say about the bike coz i think the bike have been worn-out as it is a loan bike to Boon Siew's customers. ride was quite bouncy. Anyway, read a review on the CBF150 in MCA, if not mistaken, Boon Siew gave them assurance tat the bike won't break down as the bike is bullet proof. From the number plate, it is the same bike Boon Siew loaned to me! what a coincidence.

Happy Shopping :)

Sorry to interrupt ur thread guess919, cos i also deciding between CBF 150 and Pulsar 180.

Does anyone know what is the price for CBF 150 new one now? Cos i checked with universal for pulsar 180, it is around $4425 without insurance now. any comparison?

Also, the fc for both bikes are they simliar? i heard pulsar can go 50km/l but cbf though according to the book is around 60km/l but i read the forum most ppl is all around 40+km/l. so how true is that?

Thanks in advance! =)

FC depends on several factors such as riding style and rider weight.

The heavier the load on ur bike, the higher the FC.

Faster speed=Higher RPM= Higher FC.

Harsh acceleration and braking = Higher FC.

Tires also makes a difference.
