Hi,

Anyone knows how to extract the programs I've recorded on the hub station?

I wanna burn it to DVDs using my labtop.

What hardwares do I need to extract the recorded programs?

I have a labtop running on Windows Vista, and an old Mac G4 with firewire.

Erm, actually I dun need to record the show onto my pc when it is showing as hubstation is a recorder by itself, 160gb of diskspace.

I'm running out of space to record, and wanna transfer the recorded shows out of hubstation to my pc or mac so I can burn them onto a dvd.

Any techies here knows how? Argh!!!

To transfer recorded show from Hub Station to PC, you would need a video capture card in your PC. During playback, the video signal is captured from the TV and recorded to your HD.

An easier way is just get a DVR (no HD type) and record it off the TV during playback.

i thought there might be a way to access to the recorded shows/movies in hubstation itself, cos since it is hard disk based, thus maybe have a way not to playback then capture it via a vid capture card mah...

Demon's right. This will be a manual-labour kinda job -- one-on-one direct recording.

You're right on that concept. However, TV recording devices are an exception; these are designed in such a way that it's nearly impossible to pull out the recorded shows from it. Companies like these usually comply to anti-piracy techniques to safeguard the copyrights of TV shows.

Short of the idea of pulling out the hard drive, anyone knows of another hack? :D
