I think SW9000 can register up to 25km/litre, if i'm not wrong..

Scooby used to be able to hit 25km/litre until he change his air-filter?

Scooby still clock 25+++ km/L even with K & N.

He and me very 'gentle' rider.

But hor if with pillion, FC should probably be around 23-24 km/L.

yup, averaging around 25km/L but mostly along expressways (hardly in city) and no pillion. not sure how much contribution the K&N airfilter or the power abuser or 4-point grounding has in getting the good FC. but i'm happy with my SW's current setting :thumb:

basically they are the same, with only minor differences... same body kit, same spare parts used, same set of tyres, same engine, etc. probably only some electronics, key ignition assembly, throttle assembly and bike settings different nia. do a search and you should find this question has been answered many times in this thread.

also check out the technical thread Silverwing 400cc / 600cc Tech Corner (http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/images/misc/multipage.gif 1 2)

but if you're looking for a younger used SW, there's only Euro

I'm still looking to hit 25km/l once my SW normalizes from run-in. Will be testing to see if I can do 25km/l w/o pillion.

if you missed our last tour and lobster meal to pengerang, here's a good news... its back by popular demand :clapping:

1D Jason Bay/Pengerang Seafood/A&W Trip

Date: 14/11/2009 (sat)

Time: 0830~2000+hrs

(no overnight Visa required!!!)

0830: meet at GP Petronas (there're seats inside), gazz up & admin

(kindly do not plan for a 8.15am arrival at tuas checkpoint thinking to clear tuas/msia immi and still arrive on time; expect the usual sat morning peak hour jams hor)

Participants:

1. scoobydoo / 90112330 (organiser)

2. SW9000 (auto add)

3. Atlantic 200 (auto add)

4. jsilverwing (auto add)

5.

6.

7.

8.

9.

10.

any suggestions to the itinerary?

else we do similar... ride up to Jason bay then come down along the east coast, pass Desaru and then have lobster lunch at Sungei Renggit (Pengarang). then ride for shopping at Giant skudai via kota tinggi, A&W at Bt Indah before coming back to sinkapor.

Tentative plan:

0830: meet at GP Petronas, gazz up & admin (NOK form)

0845: set off, ride leisurely via Kota Tinggi to Jason Bay (100km/avg 70+kph)

1030: eta Jackson bay, R&R free n easy

1100: coastal ride to Sungei Renggit Good Luck restaurant (77km/avg 80+kph)

1200: Sungei Renggit Good Luck restaurant

1200~1400: Lobster/seafood lunch

1400: visit Pengelih jetty (optional; 18km east), then

. . . . depart for shopping at Giant Skudai (150km/avg 75+kph)

1630~1830: Giant Skudai (shorter if nothing much there)

1845: stopover at Bt Indah for dinner (10km, avg 50+kph)

2000+: GP Shell/Petronas (17km)

flexible return leg... can also go bike wash at GP if early, some bikers may skip dinner and OTOT return after shopping

2000+: OTOT return to sinkapor

this time, we go Good Luck instead of Jade Garden :p

86 jalan telok ramunia sg rengit 81620 pengerang johor

tel: 07-8263555

p/s: if can confirm no. of pp going, i can make reservations at the restaurant :hungry:

which hotel you have in mind at krabi? i checked the internet, good ones all very expensive during the songkran period

Highly likely I'll get The Verandah.

It's 1750thb (with breakfast) during Songkran.

Opposite Macdonalds and 7-11 and 3mins from the beach.

There are only 16 twin rooms (total 21 roooms) that's why must decide early.

Hmm, so far got 4 ppl liao. I think max we can handle 10 nia (got so many interested meh?). haha.

Must search map for hidden areas to explore... waterfalls, hotsprings, etc.

actually i tot of doing a johor hot spring trip; there're 2 in johor..

problem is, they're both too far away from our pengerang seafood joint :sian:

a) labis (segamat)

To get here, head for Yong Peng town or Segamat town. From Yong Peng, travel north along the trunk road to Labis. From Segamat, travel southeast to Labis town. It is a further 10km from Labis to reach the hot spring

http://www.virtualmalaysia.com/destination/labis%20hot%20spring.html

labis town is about 60km north of yong peng, add another 10km from labis to hot spring (if we can find it)... total about 160km from GP esso. about 20+km further in from labis, there's a 39ft tall labis waterfall. melaka is about 120km from labis town.

b) sungei grisek (muar)

The nearest town is Batu Pahat (23km). From the North South Expressway (NSE), take the Ayer Hitam exit (Interchange 244) onto highway 50 that will lead you to Batu Pahat. From Batu Pahat town, travel north-west passing Semerah. At Sungai Balang, take a right turn and drive on for about 4km and you will reach the Grisek Hotspring.

http://www.virtualmalaysia.com/destination/grisek%20hot%20spring.html

its bout 150km up from GP esso (approx 2hrs), probably good for a grisek-melaka 2D1N trip :thumb:
