basically, there're 2 ways for a LED/bulb to blink when powered:

* use bulbs with special type of filament known as a bimetallic strip which opens circuit when heated and closes when cool. this is somewhat old technology.

* use controllers or regulators know as relay to open and close the circuit external to the bulb/LED. some bulbs have built in relay chips to make them blink.

 

blinker relays may be bought at electronic shops like those at sim lim tower level 3, automotive/motorcycle parts shops, some electrical supplies shops, etc.

e.g. limbat is selling a korean made relay for $25, see link http://www.limbat.com.sg/htm2h/ledbc1.htm

i tot it is expensive as similar stuffs could be gotten for just few dollars at SLT (different design though).

Anyway, if anyone wanna do custom windshield or laminar lip, I just found a shop that customize windscreen. My friend did one for his blackbird and modded exhaust, cost him RM40.. It's at Tmn Perling..

my windshield kenna a deep chip during the recent trip to ipoh. imagine the tough windshield also kenna chip off, headlight sure crack if kenna that impact

yeah... i found this 45 LEDs Brake (1157 - Round base with 2 pins / 7441 flat base with 2 pins looks like BIG T10 connector) and this RX8/F1 Lookalike Brake Light $80 with installation..... from here http://forum.picantoclub.com/lofiversion/index.php/t2468.html and they also got more others LED lights...

Chairman........ is the 7441 flat base with 2 pins looks like BIG T10 connector suitable for ours ma? cos i saw from ur tech is 7443 type T20 16mm wedge base, 2-contact, 2-intensity LED bulbs cos they say flat base with 2 pins looks like BIG T10 connector sound like T20 also, so dunno eh gum anot??

info in tech thread was compiled from riders's feedback... bulbs for FJS & SWT slightly different so best is to take your out to see for yourself. i haven't changed my bulbs (except H7 headlight) since bike came out from factory, thus not sure

SW-T/FJS using 7443 T20 flat type connection.

 

7443 stands for dual circuit lights, meaning 1 for tail light 1 for brakes.

 

7440 only got 1 circuit. SW-T front signal lights use this.

my seller who sold me his silverwing did up a small chip himself to make the rear lights blink. i have rear led lights that blink so brightly that i can see sign post light up when i look into my mirror. he also built a switch in the underseat compartment so that it acts like a hazard light.

SW-T/FJS using 7443 T20 flat type connection.

 

7443 stands for dual circuit lights, meaning 1 for tail light 1 for brakes.

he is electronic savy enough to DIY a relay himself; heard it is not difficult but i only know how to lay bricks and count numbers. those who dunno how to DIY, just pay for ready made ones lor
