just wondering a P150 is wat model? has an ignition key below the seat..

Hi, fellow riders... I got an offer from a friend regrding his PX200. is a FT plate vehicle, price he quote me is $1000/- ( machine only, excluding insurance, road tax and transfer fee. ) is a 7= yrs old bike, mileage at speedometer to be 73K +.

 

I have viewed the bike and appearance is nothing of serious, only a minor scratches (normal wear and tear) . Headlight, speedometer, body frame and sat in stock condition.

 

Can I have your advice, wheather is it a good deal to consider ?

Is there any 2nd hand vespa shop to recommand ??

seems cheap.. i oso looking for one.. right now in the midst of swapping with one owner.. hope everything goes smoothly..

 

btw check out tong aik near sim lim tower / new la salle.. or ah joo at ubi industrial..

GO FOR IT... 1k is a good price for a PX200disc!

P150X is the model that came out before the PX150... they didn't have the ignition there originally... it has been modded by an owner... Pretty much the same as a PX150... except it'll only be premix... and have some minor cosmetic diffs...

heh, might not be the best place to ask, should try to other vespa thread for modern scoots. Not too sure where's good to svc et8.

 

Your problem, might be due to fuel choke. Clean the carb, fuel filter. Did you try to open throttle? or it still dies after you throttle

yeah... throttle open then wont die.. dont release throttle.. few seconds engine die.....

heh, when was the last time u send for servicing?

my guess, fuel choke or time to change your spark plug =)

'cheaper' problems, i can think of other more expensive problems... haha juz check the above out first.

After about more that 12yrs of riding, i tink its time i ride something i've been eyeing for a long time.. a classic vespa. But the qs is.. im not too sure where to start. So here i am. Been reading up on vespas but cant seem to find the answers to be queries below. Hope theres some kind soul in here to assist.

 

1) Im looking for a Sprint model(real ones not sprint lookalike modded px). Where can I buy one where I can do up both engine and outlook to my preference together first before taking it out of the shop?

 

2) What's d kind of pocket damage am i looking at for these kind of buys?

 

3) Would be it cheaper to buy from a seller straight? (cant seem to find anyone selling sprint)

 

4) What is the most obvious way to distinguish between a modded px and a sprint? (dont wanna kena ketuk by ppl and motorshop)

wat u mean by this sentence? as in there is a better way to do up the bike instead of paying one shop to do it? as in do it slowly n survey different shops for different part of the bike?

hais.. y tink2 soooo.. much.. if c nice.. then buy onli lah... wakkaa... but plz... if u goin for class-sick bike... have an equal engine.. dun be cheated by shops using PX engine instead of their original engine.. hehehe
