If you look at the recession in another way, in my case it was the previous months when I was looking for a new job.

Local companies desperately calling me for "fresh graduates" jobs, but offering me as much as $500 less that what I used to earn from my previous job. Siao.....

 

And the neverending calls and requests for my CV from "financial planners" and "wealth management" people with their "can try out this job first to see if you like it" tactics, even though money and investment products were never my cup of tea, let alone expertise

I am adversely affected cos without the mid-year bonus, now I have to pay my mid term course fees with half of my salary...

I am an ex-seaman and have made sure I have revalidated my certificate of competency so in case I get retrenched from my office job I can always go back to sea.
