seems rare to find a pre 08 09 Tmax.

 

brand new 08 i believe no more on local soil... if ve grab it at 08 prices..

 

used wan i think there's 1 at speedway.. shld b the TMax traded in by 1 of the bro here... MC alone asking $14K.. wahahaha... :faint:

went to check out Kapitan's TMAX at Speedway just now..... nice!

 

BUT not the amount i'm willing to pay for.... :sian:

 

anyway, for the benefit of the public, the asking machine price is $13.7K. mileage is 10K Miles. :angel:

bro... just went HL today... was told plus a 1200 dollar, u can have abs model liao... and can choose from 4 colour some more... hee..hee... but still i was hold back by the high yen conversion that make the TMAX cost so much more than before....:angel:

ask them how abt i trade in my '05 Tmax, they say prefer to keep a newer Tmax for sale.

 

all shops give the same crap. when wanna sell U theirs, they say difficult to find, have value etc... then when asked if want to take in yours, they'll say, no market, no value... :dot:

Agree 100 percent. When I traded in all my previous bike, shop boss will tell me the same old crap like no buyers, no value blah blah blah. The fastest sale was my last FJR. Sold the very next day after I sent it in.

Guys..u have to understand the shop have overheads like rental,staff utilities to pay..they cannot treat every 1 like relatives...if they do,all of them will close down.

to me,i tink its reasonable if its otr price..at least u know that its a pre-owned by our enthusiast owner here..reputable owner.well loved..would u buy a 10k otr but owner nv take care,accident bike with main frame crooked?same theory..

 

Its simple..if u dun appreciate,there will bound to be sum 1 to snap up the gd deal..a well taken care of vehicle is very hard to find..further more knw the owner..

 

Another thing is the bike shop will help u do the paper work n find loan for u.The loan part is the difficult part..if u dun have money,give u 5k u also cannot afford wad..so pls guys..spare a thought for them..i know the guys at speedway..they are nice ppl..say my name..MIGHT (not cfm) get a SLIGHTLY better price..

wel, I dont think it takes a Biz owner to understand that theory... everyone understands that, but U will really "feel" pissed when U try trading in yr '03 TMAX to them & they quote U like.... $2K ? :cheeky:

 

I just went down to speedway... was quoted 14.5k OTR for that silver t-max

too high ??? too low???

 

based on the actual purchase price (OTR=$16.5K approx), and U paying $14.5K OTR, means that U took a $2K depreciation for a 1-year-old bike. Fair or not? U decide

 

but based on replacement cost, a brandnew TMAX would cost like $17K OTR (aprrox), it means U took a $2.5K cheaper, for a 1-yr-old tmax.

 

worthwhile or not? depends on yourself.... :thumb:

 

if U find my above analogy to 'chim', then just simply follow yr heart/wallet, whichever has the priority!! :angel:

i perfectly understand ur feeling. i feel it everytime i chg bike. so now i chg less often...
