Just test rode the BMW 650GT and found the engine rather loud at 60km/h. May I know if tmax is similar?

Sorry if question sounds weird, as it's my first time on scooter

Now that you asked the question, I started trying to recall.

Overall I hear more wind noise than anything else.

Can only hear the Tmax exhaust at low speed when there is no wind noise.

Love to hear the exhaust sound of the Tmax

I was riding scooter, scooter, NC700, and change back to Tmax after 3.5 months.

It was depressing to ride the NC700 in wet conditions and in dry conditions, the heat from the engine is not comfortable during dry & hot days.

Now wet or dry, it's great to ride the Tmax. So easy to handle.

Engine is really smooth all through the revs. So far only hit 130 in SG. Yet to go to Malaysia.

Will probably reach 20000 km yet in a couple of months time.

Will be going to AC Motors for servicing.

Ah Chong, the owner, rides a Tmax 500.

I was told he knows the Tmax in/out and those times I visited, I saw a SilverWing and X9 rider having their scoots being serviced.

Both owners said they have had their scoots serviced by AC Motors for years. Both also said his charges are very reasonable.

So it really depends on the owner's comfort level ....trust only distributor Hong Leong or use outside shops/agents.

I think you could read up on the older pages from this thread to understand more. At least for me, it worked, although a test ride on one could do wonders

Milleage if convert to kms will be around 37000kms. 2 year old bike. Asking $15800

I bought mine (530) in Dec for $18k. 1st registered Mar 2013 and it had about 10900 miles (17540km). Base on owners manual, the next service should be at 40000km.

When I bought mine, I requested the agent to do a thorough check on the whole bike and service which included oil change, oil filter change, check on all the air filters and clean, check all the electronics.

They also help me transfer and install my top box.

Later I found out they overlooked checking the bulb for the license plate which surprisingly was missing.

They replaced it for free.

I guess you have to do a thorough visual check on it yourself on the external parts and if possible ask them to start the engine so you can check all the meters, lights, horn , signal and slowly rev the engine to see if there are any weird noise from the engine and belts.

If you have a friend who owns a Tmax, it would really help.

Special thanks to Ah chong. Called him when my Bike suddenly cannot start. Turn ignition and no light nothing. First check battery connection and then fuse. Used my friend bike battery to jump start using the jump start cable. After that went straight to Ah boy to change battery because it was 7 plus pm and I was near there.
