yeah im using 2 way alarm by steel mate. veri good la i stay 10 floor my bike alarm go on my controller will go on also.

pricing is 195rm so u know wher i fixed it oready. but u can buy at singapore spy 2 way alarm better. cos steel mate comes wit onli one controller once lost means thats it. for spy got 2 controllers but it cost roughly ard $130

yeah scorpio is ard $200 plus sia. btw jb onli got steel mate. if u wan spy mus buy in sg than go fix urself at other shop. if u buy from shop veri ex. wat my fren did was he buy spy alarm in sg than go jb fix it.

I think in his case a remote off switch is better. So when someone else ride off with your bike you can switch off the engine just by a push of the button.

Spy 2 way alarm system selling at motoworld @ S$160 + installations!!! a very good alarm, those with electric start can use the remote start function!!!

 

had the alarm in mind, but short of cash la...

Hello guys, sorry here to ask questions again.

 

I think I'm gonna finally trade in my 8 yr old RXZ for a new X1r, foot peg fell off when I was riding on Saturday, damn dulan.

 

Besides changing the tyres, what else should I get the bike shop to do for me? Is Battlax the best option or are there other alternatives just as good, (and maybe slightly cheaper?)

 

I don't need the bike to be very fanciful, just want it to be more stable only, and maybe make it heavier, coz I weigh only 53kg. Are the stock rims good enough, or should I ask for another kind of sport rims?

oops I saw wrongly, actually HLC quoted me about 5500.

 

I dont mind paying 200 more for better services. P Plate. Early 30s. Quote is OTR w TPFT insurance. Prefer the one with electic start, colourwise, red or blue.

 

If like that get from HLC should be better hor, since they are the authorised distributor??

u intending to get 1st hand or 2nd hand? battlax tyres is heavy and oso more sticky, hence the stablity. or u can try using dunlop as well, cheaper than battlax i think? (im using battlax so im nto sure bout dunlop). stock rims u mean spooky rims or sport rims? 1st hand bike can choose either sport rims or spooky rims.

 

if u wan safety, u can try changing the brake hose, brake calipers and brake pad. add weight? try putting box? tat's my opinion. hope it helps.

What other things did you change on your bike?

 

And one more stupid question: I always carry a piece of cloth with me when I ride, in case of rain or bird ****, with the Rxz, I can stuff it on top of the speedometer, but is there any place to put the cloth on the x1r?
