Hi bros,

 

I am thinking of getting a x1r from bike production. But i will need some help as this is the first time i am getting a bike from a shop.

 

From what i have heard so far (from eric78 and some other forumers), bike production is one of the shop that gives the best deal.

 

eric78 bought a fbc plated x1r with gpr exhaust, racing foot rest, sports rim and HEL brake hose for only $3.5k OTR with insurance, which i find it a damn good deal! (correct me if i am wrong eric78, and if u feel uncomfortable for me posting this up, pls let me know.)

 

However, I went to the Bike Production thread and i saw 2units of FBB plated x1r with racing footrest and sports rim and it cost $3.25k. Can anyone enlighten me that $3.25k issit OTR price without insurance or is there any other misc fees to be paid?

Atan motors. Insurance about 1.2k due to below 21 and P plate rider?

 

machine price about 4k and i don't remember him telling me anything about coe.

 

Does anything have any suggestions the best place to find a second hand? i've looked online and around ubi but to no avail

 

yo bro.. same as me.. same place.. was qouted quite ex also.. he say i cannot use 3rd party since i p plate so must get insurance 2nd party. 800++.. (im 24yrs dat tyme).. almost put downpayment.. den at the last min.. my fren was asking around other shop at the same time.. was qouted much much cheaper... insurance 3rd party can liao.. so i quickly say i think about it.. survey other shop 1st.. take your time bro..

yea try Bike Production. i think theres a few of us x1r riders who bought it from there. haha. but for servicing i suggest you go else where. =)

Bro, since u r already there y never ask ah Swee for the breakdown prices & try bargaining wif him?

He looked unfriendly, but actually he's ok 1 lor.

FYI, 2nd hand bike they do not provide warranty, if u feel uncomfortable might as well get 1st hand. Their price for 1st hand quite competitive oso.

yeapp! i bought mine at republic motors. friendly people! i stayed ard 1 hour there to get what bike i want. ask alot of questions yet they serve with a smile. hah

things to bring:

1. $78.10

2. the ''log book'' thing that the shop passed to u.

3. log card

4. owner must be around with the ic as well

5. proof of receipt.

i went to kaki bukit the vicom took in al about 1 hour...

when the guy was in the room din see me quite fierce took awhile but once he saw me with ah beng hairstyle and tattoos everything sped up quite alot...

anyway bro dun worry its quite easy today also my first time go...

my bike always had problem going over 100kph but today i could get 110kph...

mileage i not sure yet... i still deciding whther to take out silencer anot..

was actually quite busy these few days as my exams are nearing. hopefully i will find the time to make my way down next week.

 

anyway, from what u have mentioned, the 2nd hand bike prices are actually negotiable? but again comparing the prices up on the website with the deal that you had, definitely urs is way better lah! now there fbb plate with racing footrest, sport rims only alr cost $3.2k without insurance leh bro! so i believe u noe the boss well or u had a hard time bargaining with him issit? hahaha

i suppose their 3.25k is just machine price. a fully stock FBB x1-r current market price range is ard 2.6k - 2.8k, maybe shops will sell a little higher. i got my FBB x1-r at 3.4k otr last Oct. machine price - 3k

insurance - $390 close to 400 aft NCD

for most shops, they will usually need u to take up 2nd party insurance if u are paying by installment. it's actually a so called "back up plan". in case ur bike got stolen, at least u can claim insurance and still pay the shop the remaining amt that is left

Hi guys, my whole 'dashboard' is very loose haha.. when i touch the speedo, the whole head will move up and down...any of you guys know where is the screw to tighten it?

ubi there the first row of block facing the car show rooms got 1 sticker shop got sell... that time i bought at $12 for 2 rims. btw, mine is the thick kind (around 1cm width)
