hi guys, is it necessary for us 4 stroke to go for full service? my bike is quite noisy when idling and the mech at Republic mentioned something about my valve inside and need to do full service. he quoted me 120 for servicing. what should i do? should i go jb and do? =P

Im Sure Every Bike Needs Full Service Once You Feel The Bike Is Heavy & Laggy & Not The Usual Same Response.

yes, it is necessary for 4 stroke bikes to do full servicing due to wear and tear. i personally dislike going to JB for servicing due to bad experience, but i'm ok with getting accessories from there.

not very sure because mine is still in good condition. u can try asking ur mechanic or maybe LAB as they carry a wide range of stuffs.

u can try. provided they know about the bracket that u are telling them. think it's best to head down personally because some of the bike parts are hard to describe.

only go JB if you have a fren to recommend you. I always do my bike in JB and personally I feel the JB mechanic is much more meticulous with my bike than in Singapore.

Story mode. True Story.

Once I did a regular service in Singapore. I won't name the bike shop name out. That shop quite famous. I asked to change coolant, EO and oil filter. He did not take out my head fairing out(i am riding spark135), he just open abit and pour to the opening. Needless to say he spill some on my fairing and I am abit pissed.

Next is the most ultimate one. After I made payment, I went back to my bike. He said everything done. He pushed my bike to the road and just as I am about to start my bike. He said "wait wait! i think i havent put the new EO yet." I was like "U THINK?!" den he took a bottle of EO and go to the roadside and pour in.

It's the last time I will go back that shop. Ever. That shop is pretty famous for doing and selling spark parts. ZZZZZ ultimate disappointment.

PS: another thing. When he was changing my EO, he took out my seat and battery cover and the fairing covering the carburetor. I didn't question him because I believed he knew what he was doing. But turns out he really dunno what he was doing. 1ST TIME I see mechanic change EO got take out the seat and the mid fairing covering the carb. Sigh.

Anybody having the problem of the switch Low beam but the bulb High beam?

Any way to fix this?

Bro Its Just The Wiring Connection I Guess. Went The Other Way Round Instead.

Posted
same problem here. but my high beam makes no diff....

Hi Beam No Diff It Means Its The Angle Settings Of Ur Headlamps.

For X1, There Is A Nut In Between The Two Lamps At The Back. You Can Adjust Whether U Want Higher Or Lower.

X1r Shud Be The Same I Guess.

my high beam is just the light pointed at a higher angle. maybe yours is the same? try checking it out in a darker place to see the 'effect' haha
