Wats your bike symptoms when u decided to overhaul? Aft how many KMs?

 

Symptoms:

-bike sounds like grinder (nt e tic tic sound as if excessive tappet clearance)

-smoke from exhaust

-loss/reduced of power due to improper sealing tween the piston ring n cylinder bore

 

Anyways i juz installed the rextor cdi, anyone knows the ignition timing how many degrees?

overhaul meaning changing of parts that already out of tolerance (nt within spec). so, can be any part

 

or still have other things?

so guys..do we really need to overhaul? about at what mileage is it recommended to overhaul for a stock clutchless spark like mine..? reaching 26k click ready..been whacking the bike since i got it...scared something will happen soon ah...ahaha..the price of overhaul is scary man..!!

 

It depends how frequent you change your engine oil, normally i change every 1500k - 2000k. if your engine don't produce loud tic tac noises and still can run smoothly means its still in good shape. ya.. scary, engine parts are not cheap.

mine is fbb approaching 3. so urs should be 4. watch out ppl mass de-kit very soon. racing footrest, rear disc, front 6 pot and rear 4 pot nissin calipers, 7 leg sport rim for rear disc, maybe even my fenderless as well.

i guess the wheels u use play a part also..

 

initially when using stock wheels, my spark hit 110 will start to wobble..

 

now after changing to bigger tubeless battlax tyres hit 120 then start to wobble..

 

but my speedo very inaccurate.. my frien riding honda CBF paced me on xpressway, my speedo 120 his speedo 110 only..

 

any fellow spark owners have the same problem? can rectify one or not ah?

u might wanna get a mechanic to have a look at ur front bearing when u replace ur front tyre..

worn bearing causes wobble2..

changed mine at 22xxx km..

Just overhauled my bike too.Changed new camshaft and piston.Sianz.

If engine still ok , dun overhaul, wait till the engine sounds different then seek advise from mechanic b4 overhaul.

It depeend on your speed and throttle control and where you ride. if in city traffic where stop go situation is always then you use up more. Expressway constant riding let say around 100km/ph that is about 90km/ph for different bike models is @40km per litre. Full tank for me as i use for transport purpose will last @ 160km ++

This is what i do recently. i flush out the coolant and replace it with engine ice and it seems that the engine run quieter..more smooth. i dunno whether the coolant has an effect to the engine.

IdaanDI: ignition timing depends on your bike mods, if stock leave it stock.. there's no need to advance/retard your ignition timing..

 

and there's no specific timing that works well for all.. some people work well with 1degree, some 3, some 4, some none.

Not tick-tack sound.The bike like got asthma like that. 7000km ago,i top-overhauled only(piston change only).Then now overhaul have to change piston again.Sianz. But should not have problem for now.I doing a proper running in again.Not more than 90km/h on my speedo.

nope i sent the rim for spraying,next day i return to install it back.
