Can. Just be creative. Before I forget the rod to the drum brake should be at the bottom and not the top for it to work efficiently. Why? Because it was designed that way.

There is another way to make the rear brake work while the rod being at the top position. Of course, its such a hassle, wanna know how? YamahaT135 forum is your friend.
