I see more and more hayate stock up at bike shops, then my bike is stock one. Feels weird seeing clones at the shop, need do something about the outlook liao... :cheeky:

Just got my Hayate yesterday and was happy that it was a sunny day not like today. Bro Shunoski, reason for buying bike just for leisure la, sometimes let my wife take the car to fetch kids from school etc. so i can use the bike to work when the weather is fine, save on petrol :-)... Anyway like the bike respond but never pia yet cos still running in. Hope to unleash whatever power the bike has once running in is completed....

So how's your bike so far ? Any mods done yet ? I'm thinking of changing the pipe. As it is now, the pipe is already quite loud to a certain extent so i guess if we change to another street legal pipe surely rocks the neighbourhood...

Don't have after-market for hayate yet, yeah, it's pretty loud. Go home at 2-3am a bit pai seh, roaring around while searching for parking space at MSCP.

Running in wise, just change oil at about every 500km for about twice or trice, just ride at your own speed. No need restrict, if you google for running in, breaking in of engine, or search in here, you'll know why I saying this 'uncommon' practice.

Hi mates

I just got my White Hayate this afternoon.

Rode from Toh Guan to Tampines and found it quite hard to keep to 80kph .. haha!

Overall, It'a a nice ride compared to my wave.

The seat is more comfy, more underseat storage, higher view and the best is no more changing of gears.

Where can i intall under belly lights and a bike alarm ?

haven't try taking bends with the current tyres, still haven't have the adrenaline yet to take corners...me old liao unlike you guys..haha... anyway today tried my bike at 100+ km/h, personally find the bike comfortable for commuting with no hassles to worry about loose chains and what nots..

Now bike mileage is about 115km, still running on 1st full tank and fuel indicater showing between empty and half tank...Full tank for me cost less than $7..(Caltex 95)..hopefully can reach 200km with one full tank. If can, ho sey liao cos my car full tank $50 can go 480km... Wonderful savings for me:cheeky::cheeky:

Yup, it can go 200km comfortable on a tank. I usually fill when it start to touch the red area, and end up, I only able to pump in 3.6L. So I reckon, when you reach the starting of the red mark, you have at least 40plus KM to find a petrol kiosk.

I was in midst of heavy downpour yesterday, and with the wind blowing strong. I can feel the bike sliding about, it's probably due to the combination of the tires, the strong wind(visibility 10m), the light weight of the bike and me.

Me also old lor. At 31 yrs old with 2 kids. Not much balls to take a tight bend @ more than 70 kph lor. My 2 days old bike like already hit 170km and going at 100kph is easy on this bike too. fyi, my weight is already 103kg so i am quite a heavy rider for a small bike like hayate. :thumb::thumb:

For a 103kg biker on this hayate. My bike also swerve on Benjamin Sheares Bridge when the wind is heavy lor. Same goes for my previous ride on Wave and VXR

FV4, how's yr fc?

I using tt900 gp. I pump 260kpa rear 240 front.

My fc..seems like quite bad, pumped my second full tank when the needle touches the red zone and now at only 256km, the needle is showing somewhere between the half point to the red zone... probably because me still running on mineral oil and also due to the long journey to work everyday.. (Pasir Ris to Anson road via ECP)

256km / 8L = 32km/L

or

256km / 9L = 28.4km/L

Given Scenerio 1 is more likely. It's a good f/c to me. Urban riding is start-stop riding pattern.

My fuel needle already hit the end of red line and I can only fill 4.2L.

my fc maintained @ 28-29km/l... juz changed eo to shell advance ultra...
