So take my review as a pinch of salt ya

Anyway now looking into all the technical details i might encounter. Electronic wise ????? Total clueless!

I actually called up in july to enquire and was told that new stock are coming in mid july. The next thing i know from paithorn mention here that all units sold. How many? i didn't ask.

So i called again and a lady told me the next stock coming in mid august, so to avoid disappointment, i decide to booked one. How many coming? i didn't ask yet again. But Herbert told me 3 units of Myroad 700i all booked.

DT300i just arrived last week and this week just sold out.

 

The next shipment for DT300i will be middle of August together with 3 units of Myroad 700i.

Having rode 2 wheelers with ABS siince 2001, ABS equipped bike is a MUST for me. My next question here is ... Does the DT and Xciting comes with ABS model?

Yes kymco downtown do come with ABS. BUT Motor Sport PTE LTD did not bring in. You have to call them up to check

I use to think that the sensor ring in front is an idication of ABS system but was told the one they bring in are all ABSless. But Kymco DT do come with ABS and non ABS version.

A simple check on the web seems like there is no ABS version for xciting 300. Only the 500cc xciting carb and injection comes with ABS option.

I was at Mah Pte this morning. Saw the new MaxSym 400i ... looks good and very sleek. Sitting posture is rather comfortable and the purring of the engine is very soothing. Paintwork and quality looks good compared to the GTS 200. Understand it cost around $11k to $12K depending on insurance.

 

p/s: my GL1800A12 is now on board a ship enroute to Singapore ..... woohoooo !!!

But no news on Internet then, Not even sure if it's in production as no news. The front brakes are like racing bike. Price wise should be reasonable from sym but from Mah i don't know.

The under seat storage looks kinna small, like can only put one helmet. Have to confirm when I see it. But the front panel storage looks a plenty.

Yes the underseat compartment as i have tried can put 2X 3/4 helmet. 2 average size Full face shouldn't be a problem. The side of helmet still have some spacing to spare.

Ha ha talk some more become SYM thread already

Downtown quality and performance confirmed good already.

SYM also make indestructible scooter too if not better as commented by owners in other scooter forum. That's why just one poor scooter quality can drag the brand down.

Maxsym are very new, even can't find info on the engine. No official launch that I can find on the net. There are some walkabout and test ride on it on YouTube. Cheers.

Now browsing http://www.motorbox.com/moto/moto-viste-e-provate/sym-maxsym-400 some translating tools helps. 34cv I think is 34hp it's a 399cc sorry FJRider I think no ABS at the moment. And the unit we saw I thinks it's a test unit. The actual stocks will be in in September. There is an issue of the front wobble for the test unit. So shipment delayed for ratification that the delivery won't have such problems.

Very tempting. Wil be very busy doing my scooter homework over this week end
