Thank you so much for the info on different tyres. Really usefull and i decided Metzeler feelfree. But only end of next month than will have stock. Btw how much will normally it will cost for normal servicing.

Last Week i did first time service after the first owner last serviced about 2Months Ago..

Engine Oil Silkolene Pro4 - $64 ($32x2 Bottle)

Air Filter Change to the metal one they said can reusable - $70

Spark Plug - $8

Workmanship $12

Total = $154

So probably my next servicing will be around about reached another 5000km.

probably about 20,000km in total milage.

So when will i need to change my Belting?

The Coolant I just check myself and the level quite low. Can i just buy any coolant or a certain brands or type?

Thank you.

Hope to hear from you soon.

I suggest you keep the other bottle of oil.

Just incase need to top up or the bottles get mix up.

I feel Original filter is best.

Hi. Personally if u dun feel good about the bike, I think it's better to just change it. Frankly, I dunno about 300i but I owned a 200i. It's excellent. No complains, stable on expressway and it is a very good workhorse. Me and my wife totaled about 200kg and the steed can climb to 100km/h with ease. So I feel the 300i shouldn't be any weaker then that ;) oh and lots of space too.. just my 2cents . Hope it helps.

Then that I am no expert ;) probably u can see on sgbike how much fazer is gg for then how much that guy is selling his downtown. Personally, if u are using the bike for daily commuting then I think no point waiting for buyer if u dun feel good about the bike it can escalate to something. But that being said it's also for you to consider if u really want a scooter. It's not every cup of tea :) hope it helps

Hi, would like to check how much is a downtown 300 worth? Registration in 2012.

Is it worth to trade in a fazer 600 of 2009 for this bike?

Got a bike shop offer to one to one exchange for my fazer 600 (2009) to this bike (2012) cause I dun feel good riding the fazer. Something just dun feel right about the fazer. Very hot and feel unsteady when riding. Always feel like I going to fall off the bike.

Need some comments.

08/2011 dt300i owners here.

Honest Review as below.

Good FC of 27-33km/L(depends on rider weight)

Cheap to maintain

1.3L of engine oil

1.5L of engine oil with oil filter

Oil filter replacement at every 6000km,I do oil change at every 2000km.

1 iridium spark plug lasted me 25k km and going strong.

Tyres are cheap to replace, price range from $180-$250/set

Front brake pads same as super 4 nc31(version s/pb1)

Rear brake pad only can be found with agent

Both cheap cheap.

Belt change according to user manual is 20k km,but I lasted till 28k km,I feel lost of power.

Ever seen ppl use until 40-50k mileage(not recommend)

Belt change at agent cost around 300+

Air filter depends on user travel area, mine still Clean after 20k km.

Pervious owner Shunoski own it for the 1st 28km,he rode it up to Thailand twice,Cameron, genting.perform we'll.

I rode it up to Cameron as well.

Valve adjustment was checked at 45k km.everything working well.

Long story short.

It's a hassle free,powerful 2A 300cc scooter,with good FC and cheap to maintain.

What I can say is,when you buy maxi scooter, just dun care about the value.

Seldom ppl will buy scooter.

Hi all, just wanna ask if u fellow riders feel the rear of the bike wobbling when traveling on Lane markings during wet weather ?? I feel that when riding. Thanks in advance.

Taken from thread #5797

4. This is perfectly normal as discuss before due to engine and rear wheel is one unit connected by rubber bushing hence the twitch.

If you don't ride on the splitted line you won't feel it.

The feeling like the front wheel amd rear wheel going in diffetent direction. Most scooter should have this issue just more or less.

Above happens when you travel on uneven road running towards the direction you are travelling.

I take it the bike wobble when you are making a turn or changing lanes on wet road markings.

Most bike does this if not all.

Watch out for Man-hole and drains or any metal surface on road and painted surface when wet. Very slippery when bike not traveling in a straight line.

Generally tire have lesser grip on road markings when wet.

Plastic bags, leaves and anything that can slide between the wheels and the road will cause you to skid or fall especially stones and sand and oil.

Scooter wheels are smaller that 17" hence the wobble will be more pronounce with the wheel turning faster.
