i see that chex is recommended by jtzx to last at least 2.5k? so its ok right to go change when its near 2.5k right? kinda busy these few days to go down and my bike is almost at the 2k point already.

no matter what EO you are using... its good to change it between 2000km to 2500km... and try to check your EO level when you hit the 1500km and 2000km marks just in case your EO is dangerously low...

i see. hmm i'll definitely change it before 2500. just that im thinking if it's okay to go beyond 2000. because my daily mileage is ard 80km. so just a few more days would bring it to maybe 2200.

to check the EO level, we have to stand the bike upright, take out the dipstick, clean it then dip it back in to check right? thats kinda impossible to do alone.

so which EO is the best for our beloved ta200? lol. i used to be using Maxima Synblend, but changed it to Chex 9000 after reading this review but i felt that i had more difficulty changing gears. so i was wondering whether if it's a coincidence that it's time my clutch plate should be changed or should i use a different EO. haha. please advise. ty with much appreciation!

when i went to change my EO yesterday, the mech put in 1.5l for me. this amount is too much right? because i believe 1.2 was enough. but he already poured in already. so nothing i could do. now my worry is if too much will do harm?

too much EO... and yes you can do something about it... siphon the excess EO out of your bike from where you poured in the EO...

and avoid going back to the shop where you changed EO... the mech knows very well that a phantom uses only 1l to 1.2l of engine oil... he was trying to kill your bike...

the gaskets don't last forever... once its a little old it can fail... especially by adding too much EO that turns the engine into a pressure cooker... :giddy:

i use a pump..to get extra eo out...via the top up cover where u check the min and max level..

pump..reuse one from shampoo/bath soap dispenser..etc.etc keep one handy...multi purpose tool to extract liquid...through tiny holes...

mya be it is best to repeat the qty of eo required..

1L..for eo chnage...top up as and when necessary..

why 1.2?..dont be confused with the total eo in the engine..during servicing..the eo in engine cannot be 100% REMOVED..

jeffrey83, yeah its in ubi. did the mech find out some new info that makes them feel that pouring 1.5l is a good idea???

mepkoh, thats a good idea. i should get one too. the extra eo that i pump out has to be disposed right? because i've been riding ard these few days already. how to dispose?

so everytime i change my eo, 1l is enough? then i keep a bottle to pour when its low? most mech recommend 1.2l eh. why?

gasket spoilt is nothin serious, what it'll affect is only oil seeping from the mating area of the top and bottom block...

you nv know....seen b4 so i shall leave it to ur opinions....

alright.. just went down to check. Everythings seems ok. No EO leaking on the floor le..

Heng Heng:angel:

hi ppl. sorry to post here again after posting in the eo thread. but anyone knows how to remove engine oil? the mech poured in 1.5l when i went to change ytd. and that much engine oil will damage engine right?

you may wanna try using shampoo pump to drain out the EO ;-)

mepkoh, i've been using the EO in my engine for 2-3 days already. still can keep? i think i'll check my EO level. if its in the acceptable range (shouldnt be right?) then i wont pump. but if its not, i'll look for a pump asap and pump some out.

ya but that extra bottle of 1l oil, i can use 5 times if i pour 1.2l everytime i change. just that this time the fellow put in 1.5l for me. abit scary.

thats still new (old) oil..oil still in almost perfect condition...keep it for top ups.

your sump is practically overflowing with eo....if not theres trouble.

hey.. 1L enough for eo changes...1.2 is still 200ml too many
