is it something to do with the mixing ratio?

10w40 or 20w50 or 0w30 etc..this is call multigraded eo.

 

5w,10w, 40w etc..this are single grade.

 

Simply put..lower digit works better in ,ow temperature, higher digit better at higer temperature. "Works" meaning..freezing and breaking down points.

VidaK - No gear changing problems, or other problems. Although there is more vibration then quality oils, it is good value for your money 4/5

jtzx- Great fully syn Eo. which is value for money which can last at least 2.5k millege 5/5

there are two schools of thought... some would change to semi-synthetic EO since the piston and cylinder walls gap widens overtime... while others maintain using fully synthetic EO forever... its up to you...

 

as for you FSbiker, you can wait until 2000km then you change your EO

for TA150 no need to change EO so frequently one. every 5000km will do as the EO only lubricates the gears. and not the piston and cylinder wall. 2T oil is responsible for this.

A bike shop owner recommended me OWS 900, fully synthetic 5W60 (1L) @ $28, OWS 220 (150ml) engine protector @$15 - use half a bottle only.

Total = $46 including GST.

He said as my engine just overhaul by previous owner, it deserve such good care.

I would go Planet if i am in the area but i am staying in the West. Any area u can recommend in the west? North and Central area also ok.
