Hi. I know that its recommended to change EO every 2000km. However if bike on low mileage say 200km a month, is it ok to change EO every 10 mths then ?

Or there is a maximum time EO to stay in the engine although its on low mileage?

i will change eo at least once a year=

but oil coy recommends change at least once every 6 months

I more Kia See, I recommend that once opened, the engine oil change after 3 months. :D

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

ok i got a question.

is it ok to mix engine oil? for example i used brand XX engine oil. then when when to top up, i top up with brand YY. got any dangers in doing so? advisable? doable? thanks!

no danger..it is still eo..

but it is advisable not to mix...as the various brand has different oils...ie esther, synthectic, mineral, etc...

just imagine u drink coke..then u mix with pepsi, soyabean...etc..nothing wrong all ok..but then i dont think you will like it,:dozed:

It's safe and alright to do so. The basis of eo and all its function are the same be it sync or minerals. Just be sure that their lubricating is of performance quality level. Some are blended with like anti-corrosion agent, cleansing detergent, water dispersion, metal treatment, metal surface rebuilding..etc which is why they can be so expenxive among makes and brand.

Best recommended that you adda better one than the one you have for topping up..not the other round.:sian:

haha somehow i don't see all these at Koonz. Some of the brands I can't even read them. There was once I used an arab brand. The last time i used Maxima there was in 2008 i think?

OWS seems quite ok with me actually. But then again, its riding style and bike condition i guess.

Motul looks good here :D

Did you all sent to workshop to change the oil?? or DIY. If DIY where you dispose the used EO??

hmmm... looks strangely familiar... anyway, you should dispose used engine oil at bike shops... so might as well diy there
