btw, you should get the new r1!!! at first, r6 was my dream bike. but after looking at the 09 version of r1, it simply blows me away! lookwise, it's getting better. but performance wise, the new r1 '09 inherits a new crossplane crankshaft engine technology from the motoGP bikes!! that means a totally different feel and sound! but if you would like to get a 600cc bike instead, why not try kawasaki zx-6 instead? that bike has been totally revamped and is much better improved in the '09 verson.

Agree, ideal bike for track riding with motogp technology engine, made ur

corner smooth and constant with continuous acceleration.

the engine sound nice sia.like the doctor's bike.

too bad so ex lah, higher than my current bike,

I had ridden 600, 750 and currently a 1000cc. Not a track junkie, just like the huge power plant buit in. Higher torque eliminate the need to keep dropping gear which always give you the power on hand. Handling wise, not much different as well. Infact, the new 1000cc had been made more manageable thanks to the invention of EFI. Looking back, I should have got myself a 1000cc or 1300cc instead of my 600/750. Save me alot of money.

Kinwei, means ur next bike will be busa is it?

if that's your dream bike, money should not be a factor. class 2 already so expensive to maintain. fuel consumption even more than cars. so, i think if installment only extra max $50 only. and you get what you really really want. btw, how much for r1 '09? is it well over 30k?

bro, just go with what you want. if at class 2b u want to argue about the pros and cons, i can understand. but at class 2, it's just a question of what your heart desire for. all i know is both machines eat a lot of fuel. should be quite minimal differences for fuel consumption wise.
