I've never heard of Pulsar going >40kml. My fried only gets 30+ what could be the reason?Pulsar's a good bike really really stable. Wish it had rear disc brakes though

Are you serious? Pulsar should be getting what the TS stated, 45-60km/l. 30-40 is more like what my old slow leaky inefficient bike should be getting.

Of course if you ride the Pulsar flat out at max speed on the e-ways you'll never enjoy the economy; may be other factors involved as well such as weight, maintenance, etc.

It would be my favourite bike if not for the maintenance issues.

>50 can only be achieved by pulsar 180 ug1, for the rest about 4x.

there's also pulsar200, if using that bike any how wack, getting 3x, i wont be susprise.

rear disc brake can be mod, i've seen pics of it.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Well, consider the roots of the Pulsar - Indian market never had such 'powerful' bikes until relatively recently.

Guess they're going for performance flat out these days, which is why fuel tanks become smaller and engines go bigger. Eventually you'll see huge bikes with pea-sized fuel tanks...

If the pulsar200 flat out is getting 30km/l then I don't regret getting an ancient Phantom that needs constant attention! 38km/l if driving full throttle in traffic and on highways (max torque for overtaking), 42+ just cruising....

That's after DIY performance modding for throttle response and yet more torque. There was a time I was getting 45+ before.

If we want class 2B performance then any 2 stroke bike would beat the Pulsar200 in performance, check out a lightweight Y125Z, 37km/l and 120-130kph cruising speed. All you need to do is optimise the sprocket sizes...

Or in the realm of 4 strokers, the CBR150 is about twice faster than me and even more efficient, getting up to 490km per tank. Yes, it can be tuned that good and then some.
