But feeling so guilty, my bikes down there must be cursing at me. :cheeky:

Harlow~Afternoon guys..Nowadays the forum is like very lively, compare to 5 month ago..

Coz I'm here?

Seriously, noticed a number of us new babybladers appearing, and starting to pester the old babybladers in the thread for advice/whatnots... good sign, no? :cheeky:

thank you soo much bro ! i got all noted and i wil tell the bike shop to do it for mi , save mi the trouble . i think i do need a volt meter install to read better .

Usually mechanics dun like it when we tell them how to check.:cheeky: It is always a good idea to have a voltmeter on the fireblade. Analog or Digital is up to you to decide as mostly is for aesthetics. Mine is the analog smokescreen type (Nice to see at nite but can't really see in the day):cheeky:

Power! :thumb:

Which is why I went back to sleep instead of riding to fix my bike as planned. :p

Digital.

Great great, me going in about an hours time. Go coffee if we bump into each other? :cheeky:

Digital multimeter? Ok~

(I'm half-lazy, half-no confident in dismantling and locating one "red socket"... I better buy the battery checker.) :cheeky:

I'm sure the battery checker will be useful, but it is only good when battery checker is indicating everything is fine, once the battery checker is indicating that something is spoil(eg coil) then you have to open up and check coz it could be the wiring issue. Coz if you rely on the battery checker alone and go check with the shop they will most of the time also say is coil spoil. (Some dun even bother to check, see already say coil spoil:sian:)

It is also good to know your bike, I have ever kena my whole bike shut down no power at all, in the expressway in the wee morning. Lucky I managed to open up and resolve the issue if not I also dunno how. :giddy:

yah....... :)

Bro, just call and ask is it? I abit shy to call.. haha.:cheeky:

Back... what a day.

Went downstairs to mscp to start my bike, saw a puddle on the ground below. Looks like coolant, smells like coolant, tastes like coolant... (well, never tasted, really). The waterpump outside had stains of coolant residue. Panicked and discarded all plans for the day and went to workshop to troubleshoot see which part leaked.

Checked and traced... lucky waterpump no spoil... just the hose worn out and clip not tight enough. Flushed and replaced coolant... by the time done and proceeded to LAB to pick up the windscreen, almost 6pm+ already. :faint:

Then its the "Ah? Black colored one ar? Supposed to come but dun have yet leh, mebbe next week..." drill again, with the usual "wait long long" kind of grin. Oh well, bought a clear colored regular one at 25 bucks and rushed off.

Unfortunately haven't got time to go Sim Lim. Probably head there tommorrow. Will check for the digital multimeter price then....

Tired. Haiz. But what to do, old bikes need TLC. :sian:

Oh shat. The horn. :faint:

I have not tested the horns of this bike yet... never used horns for at least 10+yrs already. And since during the inspection for roadtax, the tech didnt test it, i conveniently forgot about it. o_O

Rationale of not using horns being... if i have to rely on others to siam me in order to avoid accident, then i am already doing it wrong. If i have a pre-planned escape route, horning the idiots might scare him/her into doing something even more stupid, and risk getting my escape route closed off... :cheeky:

Thanks for reminding me. Tml must test it as well... unless i wanna use the manual horn that sound funny... "AAAARRRRGHH", when it becomes absolutely necessary.

True.

Even if I just ride this baby for one year, it is worth going through every little details and making sure everything runs as perfectly as possible. Not to mention if i intend to stick with it longer.

I just love the way this baby purrs and growls. It's not a perfect machine, not yet, but it's mine. :lovestruck:
