btw whats the mileage for u guys? (full tank). long time i nvr see. my main jet im using 240 but now at 298 click still havnt go reserve. kewl uh. :smile: maybe i dont wack enuf.. muhahaha

i used to be able to clock 250km b4 reserve, now its only 200km. me n my itchy hand tweaking e float height myself. now tweak back to normal also still e same...

 

or is it my CDI? hmmm...

 

my mainjet using 190. zid, i'm very jealous of u now....

My Guru offers e following services:

Guys... i need help. My bike got this little problem. I guess something is wrong with the power valve. When i turn on engine, the usual power valve sound is no more. When i ride, i cannot feel the valve opening after i hit 7000 RPM. My power valve cable ever snapped before and i changed it sometime back. Could this be the same problem or is there something wrong with the power valve itself? Thanks

turn on ur ignition but DON'T kickstart ur engine. do e green & red LED indicators light up? yes > ur batt & fuse r working well. proceed to have ur YPVS checked by a mech. no > check ur fuse. if it's not blown, check ur batt. either replace or charge up if necessary.

 

even if e cable snapped, e YPVS servo will still intialise & u can hear e "eet x2/3" sound, provided its electrical supply isn't compromised.

Hmm, the lights are up. But the "eet" sound is different. I removed the tank and switch on the ignition key, i can see the YPVS cable moving, but its kinda stuck or jam a bit. It doesnt move smoothy, it moves a bit then stop and move again. Is this a big problem? And i think i need to change my batt too. The lights are flickering, or could it be the electric cables or something?

First is your YPVS could be too tight. Second the bracket gone liao. Third. Check the battery like devilish said.

carb setting and timing how come so expensive ah,.,.,.juz wandering wat he does by tat and Block skimming is the same as porting ah,.,.,.,. :sorry:

block skimming is NOT porting. it's simply skimming 3-4mm off ur block (cylinder head) using micrometer-precise measurements which will result in ur combustion chamber's height lowered, which results in an increase in compression, which results in improved throttle to piston response. ur radiator thermostat will be removed in order for ur engine to run cooler. i'm having it right now & there have been no signs of overheating after running 3/4-full throttle continuously on ECP from fort road to Changi Naval Base for the past 2 weeks.

 

setting = jetting of ur carburetor plus tuning of ur idling n pilot air screws. basically he'll put in his startup default jet settings, ie pilot jet 37.5 (if skimming is done) / 30.5 (if skimming is not done), jet needle at 4th position from bottom and mainjet 190. then he'll tell u to test-run ur bike at full-throttle n come back. next he'll check ur plug colour n increase or decrease ur mainjet as per necessary. process is repeated till e optimum mainjet size for ur bike has been found n installed. same process is done to find ur optimum jet needle clip position (1/4-1/2 throttle). this process eliminates all kinds of bogs or misfires which is caused by wrong jet sizes n needle clip positioning.

 

for advance timing, i didn't ask for a full explanation. when i have, i will post e full details. though i've already done it on my bike, hehehe. didn't bother to ask cos its part of e "throttle response improvement package" for $150, so i decided to give it a try. why i trust him is becos he has been introduced to me exclusively as a jackpot mechanic. he had also participated in e kallang Y125Z races at kallang. enough talk, for action come on down to my place & i'll demonstrate with my bike what is meant by "improved throttle response" open to anyone riding a TZM.

Devilish, hmm.... sounds interesting getting to test ride a modified TZM. Mine is slowly getting modified... hahaha, lack of cash. Maybe i would like to try test riding your bike to get the feel of a real TZM's potential. Will give u a call when im free.

Guys am just wondering. Wats the difference with a normal exhaust and chamber exhaust? And will the performance improve if i use a normal tong exhaust and fit with arrow end can? Has anyone tried? Pls share your experience. Or wats the best exhaust system for TZM? Thanks...
