i choose avante.

 

1) the very basic model is affordable. instead of paying more for forte, can use the spare cash to upgrade ur avante. u get to choose nicer rims, better leather seats, etc.

 

2) avante almost 3yrs in market? alot of accessory already avail. sumore can get 2nd hand. forte? u need wait. wait long long. hehe

 

3) avante with 16" rims/tyres gives u avg 12km/l fuel consumption.

original 15" around there also. DO NOT BELIEVE the figures given by Komoco.

5) lastly, im driving avante too. the first batch. now already 2yrs+, clocked 103K mileage. so if u ask me abt forte, im cluesless. hehe

if u like Honda Civic but cannot afford, go for the cerato forte. it is a replica.

Personally, I will go for the Cerato Forte. Looks & design better than Avante, although they share the same plaform & same engine (both 1.6 & 2L). Features are lots of it. Build in features like I-pod, USB, auto climate air-con, original reverse sensors (4 sensors), original 17" sports rims. Its value for money. Buy & drive with ease.

 

Avante kinda old model, launched in 2006, might change newer version soon.

 

Browse around car forums, you will be able to get some reviews on both cars.

Personally I like the Cerato better even tho my wife is driving an Avante now which I psycho her to buy. The auto version of Cerato is nosier den Avante. Cerato comes with factory fitted alarm,stereo and reverse sensor while Avante's locally fitted.. So look more cheapskate and lower OMV. So basically you get what you pay for for.Outlook wise i think Cerato wins hands down. Engine wise both comes with 124BHP(older Avante 121BHP),just 1BHP shy of the 1.6L Civic. if you let me choose now again I'll still pick Avante cos cheaper. either car you choose,you're getting a pretty decent ride for that low price.

Yupz agreed, for a 2l car, that's really super cheap. But then again, for a 2l car and a 4 speed gear box, it doesn't really seem good.. I was hoping from the old cerato that they will upgrade to the 5 speed one but still didn't.

Pertaining to cars

Proton ganna big time from Mitsubishi when they sold old fail technology to them.... U know why earlier stage The Proton car sucks

Hyundai & Daewoo in the earlier days also got technology from Sushi land... Also ganna same crap

 

Now Kimchi land got Ang Mo to help them.... Leap frog themselves up Suddenly like tat...

Maybe they do not have Fuel saver like Fit currently... they other cars are on par if not better then the 9yr old altis and vios....

Hi my friend just bought Avante (Manual Basic spec , OPC) only with $20700. It's really very cheap, isn't it?

But what i had heard is Avante type is going to absolute model. Model I3 is replace Avante. Anybody can confirm abt it.

if it's real, then the spare of Avante will difficult in future......

 

For Cerato Forte 2009, it made in CHINA. D u all know abt it??

PRC car..........worry leh even the designer is famous....
