Recently my cbr125r has been strucked with clutch slippage problems..it occured occasionally whereby the gear will disengaged and my rpm will shoot up to red zone for 1 second before engaging back again...has it got to do with faculty gearbox?

And there a few times my 2nd gear dropped back to neutral...is my clutch plate worn out or?

Anyone can help me out with these problems?

I do not have slipping clutch but I have problem shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear and via versa. After changing my clutch plates I still have the problems. I still looking for the reason. Even the mechanic could do nothing about it. Hope its not the tranny or the gearbox....

Commando X,

Yours sounds like worn clutch plates. Good to send it to bikeshop to have an opition from the mechanic.

MiCmAsTa,

Understand that there is some spring in the clutch system to help disengaging the clutch plates. If the spring is not replace, even after changing of clutch plate, the problem of gear shift is still there. Alternatively, throttle a little. With the slightly higher rpm running when the clutch lever is fulling pulled, the clutch should disengage & engage easier. If your bike is running low on engine oil, you may also have this problem with the clutch.

Is your bike under agent? If yes maybe you can send to Boon Siew to check what wrong.
