Today fail my bike inspection due 2 my front brake disc.. The fellow said my front disc (wavey type) not original, , muz change to original n cum bk 4 re-inspection.. Now den i noe aftermarket brake disc k not pass inspection.. So k i check wif u guys original brake disc costs how much in both sg & jb.. If jb cheaper by a lot den i'll make a trip over.. Bro, check thw website from LTA.Check the link. There is no mention of cannot mod braking system but the thing is there is no mention you can either. From my point of view, by using oversize or wave brake disc, we are improving the safety aspect of the vechicle so it should not be a problem as long as the integrity of the vehicle is not compromise.

Thks for the link bro vfr-shah.. i went to ayer rajah for my inspection tat time, maybe tat fellow dun like my face. Anyway i went to jb ah gua lane 2 change my brake disc liao.. 30rm for a 2nd hand disc since tat bike shop dun haf brand new ones..

hey guys, which inspection centre is the most "relax" one? dat can pass oversized disc brake and racing footrest. these 2 confirm wont pass rite? but where can confirm pass cos lenient abit? help!

Well To What I Know, If You Send To Bike Shop And "Pay Them Some Money" To Ask Them To Help You Send For Inspection, Confirm Pass With Flying Colours One.

Im Not Pretty Sure As I Myself Have Not Tried That Yet But Ive Heard From Many People It Does Works As The Mechanics & Inspectors Are Mostly Friends With Each Other. Hahaha. You Just Go To Any Bike Shop That Offer Inspection Services Then Ask Them Whether They Can Help You Send For Servicing And Ask Them If Your Parts Can Pass Anot. If They Say They Can Do Something Then Good For You Ahh!

Hahaha! Maybe Depends On The Inspector Too? But If They Fail You Ah, Then Must Change Back The Parts To Stock Then Must Pay Again To Inspect Again Ah? I Have Yet To Go For My First Inspection. Usually My Dad Sends It.

Haiz..just sent my Sparks for inspection and failed the inspection. Reason is because the rear brake not good. Anybody know how to settle the rear brake issue cause ever since i fix a racing footrest, the rear brake is gone lor..Try changing brake pad ..no use

Convert rear drum to disc brake.

 

As long as you can jam brake, they don't really care if you have racing footrest.
