You talking about the whole headlight I guess. There's no left or right, it's a whole piece. I took out my 748 too frequently to know that.

Hope Minerva has it. You could try Kallang Cycle to look for Michael Chong, see if he got 2nd hand one or not.

Cheers!

Hee, save your $$$, treat my whole family when we come back visit, lol...

Well, the man has spoken, think his advise sounds true also....you will not get much difference BUT carbon BST sure looks way bling....It's a matter of "want to" for me.

I would still prefer forged Alu as these takes street tougher.

I saw a Yellow 748 along a street in SF and it's racking up my memories of riding one already, damn!!! I thought of getting a Fazer or Hornet to commute first. Could not get the XR6 or Transalp 650 as planned cuz not easily available here in my area. Hmm....

Need a job first.

Sure bro, give mi a buzz when you are coming home, hahaha

I didnt expect much diff initially. With the lighter Mag in the front,

tremendously improved the agility and sharper cornering angle! Rear

rim incredibly give more muscle on the pick up and stability! You might

wish to consider that upgrade on ya next duke project instead of a Termis...hahaha.

I would love to upgrade to light rims, for sure, that's if I could make my bike full track use. I simply hate to destroy my race rims on the streets cuz I'm very pothole bashing, wahahaha....

They do have the Street CF series, so I will see how when I have the $$$.

Exhaust systems, is secondary if I'm not riding on the streets (need to wake up the drivers, really!!!) but chances are 99% comes with the bike if I buy 2nd hand. And the 748R comes stock with race Termis already, and the race Forge Alu rims.

So probably the bike "stock" is more "lace" than my 748 Bip I used to have. Enuff for much more fun to come in 5 yrs at least, haha.

Take care bro!!! So how's my Eagle getting on?

how much $$$$ do u willing to throw ?? to make ur bike to have the right performance. I would suggest not to waste so much money on it since ur not going for a professional race .... but if its ur hobby to have a bike of performance parts n quality by all mean.

As much $$$ needed to get the 748R stock with aftermarket race fairings. My guess is MV Agusta 750 SPR would be the same price tag anyways, and you encourage me to get the MV. I'm confused.....You have pm.

I have the impression you are changing ur 748 parts to 748R. If you were to seperately buy all the carbons part n all the other parts... you will end up paying more. which is why i ask how much money u willing to throw ? coz i might have some connections to get things cheaper. The $$ i ask is regards to how much budget you have so that i can assist you in the parts

Bro, Would like to apologise if theres any misunderstanding ... dont take it too hard...

Ok, I see where's the misunderstanding now is. Nope, I'm not upgrading my 748 to a R spec. I already sold my SG registered 748 and now no longer reside in SG. I'm getting a California registered bike that's why looking at options other than 748R which I am interested in.

Good that it's been cleared up.

Cheers!

According to this guy...

http://www.picturesky.com/albums/userpics/10129/elbow.JPG

(He's using Pilot Powers btw)

The lower fairings on the 749/999s touch down before the footpegs when the suspension is compressed. To avoid this, raising the rear ride height alittle is recommended.

Also, the rear shock seems to need maximum rebound to work close to properly. This problem is not present on Ohlins equipted bikes ie. 999S/749Rs... :D

This pic taken at which race track? Is it Sepang?

Saw a disturbing scene few weeks back at JK Prata....a black 999S, owner wearing burms, slippers and an open face.....

Feel very bad about myself that other ppl could stand the heat of his Duc while I could not, and every attempts to ride with burms are painfully unsuccessful. I could only wear burms, slippers and open face riding Wave.

:p guessed the owner felt wearing that way so it will be not that hot.. jeans trap heat ma..

Trap heat? No way....naked skin mixed with the Duc exhaust heat, you get a burn. Wearing jeans in fact is a protection rather than trapping heat.

But maybe he rode a short trip so it's not that bad.

Sorry!!! Missed out this post......hmm, likely to get a motard here first then once I get $$$ coming in, I'm be getting a sportsbike for track, this time, with race fairings. Before I get serious with the sportsbike, I could still do some track days on my SM to learn the track.

1 litre Duc, not so sure as I'm very SuperSports minded, kekeke.....but if I could get a good deal, why not? Maybe a 998S might be cheaper than a 748R for all I know....

So far, I always get the "Oh, you are riding the 748? I tot yours is a 916...." in PG and I kindda like it.

Haha totally agree, as i tried that too.. Btw i did went down jk prata shop some time back.. i might be the person he is saying.. or maybe not.. lol

Maybe it was you, since black 999 not common.

Yo!!! How's things?

I realised that Continental just launch their race tyres...Conti RaceAttack. They have Street/track version, and for race, you choose the Conti RaceAttack Comp with Soft and Medium compounds. It's the controlled tyre for KTM S**erDuke Race in Europe.

Will try to get my hands on it, lol...Me love Continental, be it bicycle, car or motorcycle!!!
