hmm im not too sure, maybe the vibrations were making him worried? blowing would allow him to see how much it actually was vibrating maybe? And i think it was kinda stuck somewhere and only finally dropped out at the pits, all the way since GP Esso

is $14k for an FP plate 916 worth the money?

it seems to be in mint condition, except for some leaking on the left fork.

i had wanted to get it earlier , but frens had been dissuading me, saying i'd need to spend 8k on parks every year. so i'd given up and thought of getting either a blackbird or an f4i, but hearing those dukes that day, my heart hath shakened!!!

Dear friend.

Too much to pay 4 a FP.

Hmm well actually only wanted to say when the bike is really in my hands...

Well im the one who booked it. Hmm i booked early last week (only BOOKED not BOUGHT only paid the 1k "booking/deposit"). I didn't think i would STILL be the only one until now :faint:

Mary told me i would get the bike earliest before the chinese new year. Only prob now is selling my multistrada... :dot:

Oh yeah before i forget. What minerva is saying right now is that they will NOT be bringing anymore 848s after these present 4 bikes (2 reds & 2 whites) that are already ordered by mary. They said they are not making much profit from the bike.

Well personally i think they will bring in more if more people want it.(which i think will happen especially when ducati release the 848S) Because mary said she would not bring in 749s when it was launched back then. Well no need for me to say what happened some months later. :dot:

Yup usually you will get a discount or some freebees or something if you confirm purchase during these type of events. But who knows what are the bonuses..

Hmm been a REALLY long time since the last big motorcycle show in sg :faint: if it really happens it'll definately be super duper crowded! :giddy:

Yup i booked the white one. Hmm i have a feeling minerva will have some trouble with the red ones. BUT they WILL be sold eventually.

Hey we must meet up once we get our bikes! :cheeky:

The 1st 2 white 848s in sg. haha...

Now for the next headache... full suit, boots and new gloves...

From experience, you won't get a price at the trade show which you couldn't get from negotiating with Minerva.

Freebies, won't add up to much considering how much you are paying for the bike.

Congrate for your purchase!! :thumb: Hope to see you on the road riding the White Horse... :thumb:

Agree with nAt_d_dUck. But what I do not quite understand is, you mean getting at the Expo from the dealers from Milan or Minerva at the Expo? I am very sure that every Ducati here has to be sold by Minerva to qualify for factory warranties. Especially you had a strong concerns over recalls and glitches over a brand new Ducati, you case would be better served if you just get it from Minerva. Anyways, with a local distributor here for Ducati, they could not bypass Minerva for the sales of Ducati in SG. They can be sued by Minerva.

There had been thoughts of getting parallel imported Ducati by some people in SG, but unless it's a hush hush secret operations, there hardly seems to be any of them here.

A good deal is when Minerva had the launch event of the 1098. There was some discount when you order on that event itself. If they do have the 848 launch, get your order on that day if you want to get some discount. The 1098 base model was $35k on that event.

848S? or more 848 base model? Whether 848 will be more popular to end up as a 848S or 848R, would depends on the worldwide demands. To make this a speedier process, that's if Ducati managed to enter the 848 in some world level racing, else we would see the 848 like a cult following Gixxer 750 and Triumph 675.

I would love the 848 to be put to the grunt of racing, because the bike specs seems good.

749 has a long history of Supersports racing, the demand is very high over the world in clubman races. That could justify the evolve of the 749, and strong support over these few years from Ducati.

No matter what, no one wants to see the 848 as a one off model. Congrates to your new toy! Though it's still shipping.

hmm? there was someone cruising around then.. I am with blue jacket and black pants, white helmet on a red 748.

Wai....get a suit!!! Get a suit!!!! Bike can be fixed up, but injuries to yourself is forever. Properly suit up is the least we can do to be responsible to people dear to us when visiting the tracks :thumb:

Actually, yellow, red and white all look appealing to me, especially when I feel the 1098/848 got the looks right on! I would prefer white simply because I am lazy....race fairings come in white, and you could just slap on a set without the need to repaint it (since it is race fairings ).

If you could spare cash, try talking Mary into giving you a good price for the Dainese Ducati full suit. Am sure she gave great discount if you get a new bike, cuz I saw Mark and some others snapping up the Dainese when they got their new Ducs  I hope they have some hanging around the showroom that fits you. Dun force yourself to buy it if it fits bad, cause the next worse thing to not having a suit, is ill-fitting leathers.

Hmm never came across my mind to get the suit from them. My impression of dainese with ducati sewed on it means a lot of $$$. :giddy:

NoLogicOne, how much do you think it would cost?

I was super tempted to but the ducati suit. Its the same one used for the opening show for the Ducati 1098. Nice colour. But then i found one that matches my ducati helmat and ducati gloves.

I knew someone got the Dainese Ducati suit at a better price, but it's not like $1.2k of course, as it is still Dainese, have to pay Valentino Rossi some royalty afterall

Corse, I had a Suomy 1 piece before, but had to sell away because it was too big for me. Got it from States, cuz SG dun have it then, except the 2 piece Batman model ("Badman" on a bike seems super corny!). It was good, except the plastic tab under your neck to secure the zipper ripped after a few use.
