I recently also fitted the termis back on and it somehow revitalised the passion to mod the bike a little. I was thinking of a bellypan, any recommendations?

IIRC the 996r 998s and the 998r must have belly pan as it's part of the fairing structure. For the other bikes of the 916 series need brackets to fit the belly pan.

Not a very difficult job but you'll need...

1) aluminium plates ask brackets (approx 20mmx60mmx1mm) to "join" the belly pan to the side fairings.

2) permanent pen to mark out the location

3) drill to make the holes (diameter 12mm final hole size, 3~4 mm pilot hole)-make sure you have those drill bits

4) piece of wood for backing while you make the holes on the aluminium

5) plyers to bend the plates

6) additional fasterners (DZUS or standard type)

7) Belly pan

less than half a day's job if you got all the equipment near you.

even faster if you have a work bench

would a 998 side fairing + belly pan fit a 916? or do i still need to mod it to fit?

it can fit but it'll be oversized. The 998 family it a little fatter than the 916.

Will it fit? YES. but watch out for the holes that match the front fairing.

Hi all,

This question may had been ask many round le. But still need your advise.

Been a dream to own a ducati but having a budget constraint.

Looking to get either a 916 or 996. Could anyone advise 2 doubts in my mind please.

1) How expensive is the insurance for either ride?

2) Maintance for the ride is going to a bomb? Understand italian parts are costly.

Thank you.

is a Termi full system a worthy addition to the 848, how will it improve the performance and such, would some kind soul share with me? I thinking of getting it but if there is not much performance added...i would skip it and get the slip-on instead...and is it interchangeable with the 1098 or 1198?

That question depends on how much $$$ you willing to spend. If you are only using it for street might as well keep it stock or at the most slip-on. BTW what is the diameter of the stock slip on?

from what i gather is not possible to interchangeable with the 1098 or 1198, even for the slip ons..

Hi guys! I'm deciding between a RSV4 Factory and Ducati 848. I'm not sure which to get as both are equally appealing to me. Of course V4 engine lovers would go for the former. Nonetheless, how does a ducati; especially 848 fare in the fuel consumption and necessary maintenance for a ducati as compared to its V4 rival?

Keeping in mind the traffic congestion, junction to junction and hell-lotsa-speedcams, ideally a duc 848 would satisfy my hunger for an Italian bike. On the other hand, I'm very much attracted to the sound of a V4 engine of the RSV4. TOTALLY need some affirmation here, am grateful for opinions on these Italian beasts.

Please further advise... =)

I am ready to spend another 10k on my bike, but what is the difference between stock, slip-on and full system? Regarding the diameter of the stock slip on, i do not know and have to find out about it...

And in that 10K stood ready the money for the fine if i ever get caught by TP for putting on a Termi as i heard that it is not "street legal"...
