He's riding a Raptor->Italian bike with TL engine?

You can try coating the side of the ignition cap that plugs onto the spark plug to

assist future removal and the spark plug head as well as the dielectric grease

will be sheared away when the contacts meet each other. and kind of like

seal the contacts's external area.

Anyway, if anyone is interested, I'm selling my copy of the Desmo Bike Tuning and Maint manual for $15. Check out the Garage Sales! :lovestruck:

ok, will find some day to do that.

Raptor? nice bike... wierd nose fairing but i like it..and that sweet TL motor.

how much did it cost?

Actually, not much info I can see for the Monster unless it's the 9xx engine which

you can still cross reference if it's the engine the Monster is based on.

Nonetheless, still very informative and a must read!

I recently had the timing belts and the pulley bearings replaced recently and

not so difficult job. The bike is still alive thank god....

Hoping someone here can teach me how to do the valve adjustment. :lovestruck:

From what I read, need special tools to do the shim jobs, and something to prevent the valves from falling into the cylinder....

I suggest you try it on the simplest Ducati motor, the Monster 400 first! :D

Air cooled, 2 valve single spark, what can go wrong?

need a shimming cap to place the shims into to measure the shims, vernier caliper to measuer the shims and gauges to measure the clearance.

The manual got teach/illustrate but from the timing belt change.... I realised that

there are things it doesn't tell you as well. ( this cable or this part blocking/obstructing etc etc)....

I guess that's where and when the experience comes in... then again...

The S4R is already launched. Is it the S4R, or the new S2R?

Hmm, and the new updated 999 right?

I've been waiting to see it in person, from the pics I feel the older ones look better... I'll reserve my judgement until I see it in the metal. :lovestruck:

go there look see,see look and of coz, for the makan and biker babes if any.

As for the bikes, it's a win win situation.

Anyway, ST4 Ben will be modelling/riding the S2R on tat day itself.

Guess our kopi session will be at Goodwood Park 1830H this Thursday then.

Hope to see you guys there. :hungry:

Hi,

I've recently bought the Thermo tec exhaust wrap and it really solves my

cooked balls syndrome.

No longer I have to suffer in silence if I get stuck in a traffic jam.

No words can express my gratitude.

That's weird... The guy whom I bought it from also told me it'll cause itch.

However, when I was doing it, it didn't itch at all. (immuned to it....)

Anyway, ST4 riders might want to note that for the 2 headers, they might

want to buy 1" (width) x 50" (length) to cover the 2 headers' length.

I bought 2qty of 1x15". And it's just short of a section.

2qty of 1" x 50 I think will be enough to wrap the 2 headers and the

mufflers's length as well.

Anyone interested in getting any???

Locally, there's a shop at 11 Playfair Rd that sells the 2" x 50 roll for $160.

It's going on ebay for abt US$40.

Try it, your balls are worth the effort.

i thought the monster dark and 749 dark looked nice. in my eyes they all looked beautiful. i rode the 'dirtier' 999 coz i think the other 999 there was in pristine condition. that bike belonged to some dude named derrick. my bike was parked just beside the launch area. think u took a couple shots of it.

the new s2r is a beautiful bike. looks less bulky than previous monsters. sounds nice too. who was the chick who rode up with the bike?

The Monster Dark belongs to Alyssa. I've spoken to Derrick before, his bike is in 100% stock condition, doesn't even have a single thing bolted on I think, not even a hugger!

The 749Dark belonged to the boss, looked cool riding it in a suit! :thumb: The chick is erm, forgot her name! :cheeky: , but Ben introduced her to me just now. She used to ride a Monster too.

Your bike is still sparkling :thumb: Btw, is the seat stock, or did you have it rewrapped red?
