The Monster Dark belongs to Alyssa. I've spoken to Derrick before, his bike is in 100% stock condition, doesn't even have a single thing bolted on I think, not even a hugger!

The 749Dark belonged to the boss, looked cool riding it in a suit! :thumb: The chick is erm, forgot her name! :cheeky: , but Ben introduced her to me just now. She used to ride a Monster too.

Your bike is still sparkling :thumb: Btw, is the seat stock, or did you have it rewrapped red?

its stock red, only in 2005 they have the pillion seat black.

nice to see you guys around too (will, ktkt, etc). ride safe

That's weird... The guy whom I bought it from also told me it'll cause itch.

However, when I was doing it, it didn't itch at all. (immuned to it....)

Anyway, ST4 riders might want to note that for the 2 headers, they might

want to buy 1" (width) x 50" (length) to cover the 2 headers' length.

I bought 2qty of 1x15". And it's just short of a section.

2qty of 1" x 50 I think will be enough to wrap the 2 headers and the

mufflers's length as well.

Anyone interested in getting any???

Locally, there's a shop at 11 Playfair Rd that sells the 2" x 50 roll for $160.

It's going on ebay for abt US$40.

Try it, your balls are worth the effort.

I got my thermo.tec from this work shop at AMK ind park at about $100 and I used up only half of the wrap. (enough for headers and mid pipe). Got the address from the web using search thermotec and singapore.

Items for sale

Ohlins rear shock spring 7.5 kg(mint)

Showa Fork w lower triple(used)

Stock FULL fairing 998s(used) w MS Prod Carbon Street Belly-pan

MS prod Carbon 998R tail fairing (used-DP#96938402B)

Bestem carbon belt (testastretta engine)

There's a 916 Senna model at Loois motor 2nd floor but dunno whether for sale or not. Looks nice!

Maybe you can go down Minerva. Sometimes they can give out good deals!

Is the 916 Senna at Loois for sale? If yes how much would that be?

Minerva dun have any 9X6 series bike for sales neither do they have any lobangs.

My Dream Car, see who wants to cut my lane and tail-gate me......

It's been sitting there for quite some time.

I figure it's a 7-8 years old bike.(COE)

Anyway, nice classic design but dunno whether

the internals have seized due to inactivity....

The 999 looks needs some getting used to... in fact, it has

started to grow on me. But at the price tag....

The Ducati 916 Senna is one of only two in Singapore. Dripping with carbon fibre, it belongs to the boss, absolutely not for sale!

Everyone has their own tastes, I just happen to love the look of the original 999

The 999 looks so much better up close and up front.

In fact, the more I look at it, the more I prefer it.

It's so triple-xxx slim!!!!

Anyway, I think that's it for the V-twin. End of lifespan.

V4 Ducatis.... Whhoohooo.....

Aha, another 999 convert! :D

I like the 916, but I also like the 999! And I like the 999 more because... because... I don't know!!! hee hee.

Btw, for the rear shock, for more damping do I turn the screw clockwise or counter-clockwise? My rear end is bouncing alittle too much now.

Compression or Rebound?

Hey.... There are 295 registered Ducatis on the road.

Just wondering where the hell they are if not in this forum, where

The thermo wrap will last you... the problem is will your pipes last you. If it rains or if some reason the thermo wrap gets wet it'll cause your pipes to rust. You must run the engine to force the pipes to heat up to get rid of the moisture. There is this water proof spay on...but how well it does its job is anyone's guess.

However, it definately reduce the engine heat and also minimise the power loss due to overheating.

Think twice before you decide to put it on.

I have a thought... (Quite a lengthy one at that too...)

Exhaust headers are made of thermally highly conductive materials. After the bike's engine is killed, after about 10 minutes, while the engine is still too hot to touch, the exhaust headers, which can glow red hot under full load, are cool to touch.

This demonstrates the very good thermal conductive and heat dissipation qualities of the exhaust header/downpipes. But because of this, in static situations where theres no airflow past the engine/exhaust headers, the area around it can become very warm, again due to the efficiency at which heat is conducted away from the headers. But our inner legs and family jewels certainly don't appreciate this do they?

When wrapping up the headers with insulating tape, we're effectively going against the designed heat dissipation qualities of the exhaust header itself. What effect does this have on the performance of the engine, I have no idea. But if the headers are designed with such good heat dissipation properties, surely there must be a reason??

Food for thought.
