just got my new 1198 base , and i can say its so disturbingly powerful !!

rattle like hell when rpm is low but when its valves opens... cloud nine !!

the only issue i guess which i gotta get use to is the freaking hard clutch ... omg.. traffic jam and its like a forearm curl exercise...-_-...

btw, im trying to figure out if the 2010 1198 has dtc .. anyone knows ?

haha.. bucker.. ducati is making all the 2011 1198 base with DTC.. and i just miss out on that ..-_-

2010 1198 doesnt come with dtc .. oh well... guess i wodnt be needing that ;p

Which valve opens???

It's gotta be the exhaust valve in the mid-pipe. Ducs do not have variable cam lifts.

Tried with my old ram mount, fixing to the top already, but after full steer, nearly hit..

is it too near? i remove it cause i scare later because of 1 mount, my tank 1 dent! abt 2mm in between!

i set up a few "must do" thing before going to the ADW, a month ago.

ordered a couple of things fr italy to uk,get the fairing respray,change my brake pump,almost to a rcs but believe it or not the oem cost more!

why not rcs,than?i got my reason,perhaps another story for another time!

i 've been chasing the shop progressively(what d hell,pay money also heart pain) even though deep down, a month is more than enough time!

up to friday last week , they(manufacturer) inform our local distributors they 'll be shipping out express to their local distributors which in turn fly it in,which is a 2 days turn around service.

anyway , i've lose hope on dis last episode, place my deposit on the 1st of sept confirm replied on the next day!

Know exactly what you mean even though I am on a 10 yr old 748.. Cloud 9 every time I twist the throttle!

Last night while parked, a passerby gave the 'wow' looked when he walks pass... A few minutes later, he came by and ask if he can take pictures..

Such is the awe of the Ducati's. Despite my being 10 year old, it never fail to attract even when parked...

 

Another time, someone was dodging pedestrians at a traffic light to catch a glimpse of the ride when i rode pass with the new paint work.

 

Be prepared for silly smiles under the helmet even in the blazing sun if you decide to own a Ducati.. I am sure the seniors here know what I mean..

 

Sadly, I took a deposit last night for my bike. I guess I have to stay away from Ducatis "for a while" for the wound to heal...

I dont think I can buy any other bikes now that I have tasted the forbidden fruit on 2 wheels...

It is much more than a dream come true for me.. A priceless experience and memory that lives as long as I do.

 

Until then, Ride Safe and hope to see you on the roads soon.

Seriously I was surprise it was so fast too. I so wanted to have pictures taken with all the other Superbikes.

I am asking for my own homework. I dont intend to go down bikeshop to ask due to at this moment i am not ready to purchase. I dont like to ask things and dont buy. Hope u guys can give me good advice.
