Hello everyone, interesting read on our forum and also different perspectives about exhaust, am definitely looking forward to the sunny skies after all these dark clouds. Hope the meeting is a good one at Minerva today??

 

I also took the chance to browse other makes under sports bike in the forum and Jia lat seems like Ducati is on LTA radar sigh.

Today ride to Ray place for consultation ..saw a beast with termi awaiting for owner...Terence bike ready to go...swee..

 

Was there in the morning.... bike is looking good.

Hey bro, I got mine from Sim Lim Tower basement. A lot of shops are selling chargers there. Its around 35-40 bucks. It wud be beta if you get an auto cut off one, tat way u dun over charge ur battery. And be sure its a bigger clip ones rather than the crocodile clip ones, where we used in schools. Cheers!!!

 

Aiya! how I come I didnt think of that place. Just went to ah boy to check, $140 for cut off and $20 for make in china no cut off. Will drop by sim lim to check it out. Thank bro!

Hmm.. For the past two weeks.. Total of 2 lta, 2 tp have spotted cruising along my open carpark looking at bikes.. Heng i canvas...

 

Are those riding small bike and wearing a dark blue vest? Saw a few going in and out mscp too.

Thanks bros, i went to collect at 2 plus. Short ride home from Ray's place, but bike feels so easy to ride and so sorted that I'm having 2nd thoughts about selling.

Yeah agree with ohayo..no need to get so heated up.everyone regardless of vehicle makes or sizes, when they fit any exhaust system to their cars/bikes they have their own reasons for it.be it just for the shiokness of the sound,for performance or just to throw away some money,we have to respect their decisions.i agree the 2 strokers may sound irritating at times but do bear in mind that not everyone finds our desmo rumble "music to their ears"..peace

 

Actually, has anyone observed that loud pipes do help save lives??? Big bike or small bike is not the issue, as a car driver, i rather be able to hear a bike coming thru so that I know he is coming and I can delay switching lanes. So I feel that from a safety point of view, it is important to be heard and be seen to be alive.

I attempted to change my pressure plate to rizoma star design but there doesn't seem to be any cap in the middle of the rizoma plate to push the push rod into the assembly. I only realise this after I change everything and I couldn't clutch in...

 

So I dismantle everything and tried the OEM plate. If I pushing the plate in manually by hand the hydraulic clutch is still able to pump, once I tightened all the springs,... it doesn't pump at all - cant' clutch in.

 

Anyone can help?

 

How does the Rizoma pressure plate suppose to push the push rod in if the centre of the plate is hollow?

if not how to install back the OEM plate? ZZzzzzz

Nice! Esp the series no. 0077! But the COE expires in 2013, for a 1998 registered bike, it suggests that its on a 5yr renewal from 2008? 5yr coe is not renewable i'm afraid...

 

Anyway still prefer Yammy's babe.

 

Hi bro T28, i dont the coe is not renewable. Cos during early 2003, renewing bike coe was only $1. Hence i think many had advance renew their coe since it just the price for a can of coke.

Ic Ic, if that's the case, 10 yrs from 2003 makes more sense! Anyway, have already pmed owner to clarify (since its not often a 916 SPS comes to market).

Does your bike has slipper clutch? If i am not wrong, Standard aftermarket pressure plate cannot work with slipper clutch system

Lets move on.

 

Guys, lets stop pinning fault on other bikes. Similarly it aint gentlemen if other people pin a 'fault' onto the ducati. Post after post, we are !$#$#%, frankly speaking it doesnt really reflect well on ourselves in the biking community.

 

What naked1 said is true, the day we bring the ducati with termi out of the shop, whether LTA or TP is ON the ball or not. We must be ready to face the music. The termi is not legal. It is NOT LEGAL. Thats the hard truth. Gonna live with it.

 

We loved the bike, we loved the sound and we will have to take the risk and bite the bullet every single ride.

 

Either change back to stock and ride on. Or.......ride on with the termis and avoid those LTA/TP hotspots. Dont go clubbing late at night. If the bike needs to run, join me to malaysia. lolx

Not slipper. Standard clutch. I wonder if I need to remove e throwout bearing centre bearing cap? Or Issit even removable frm e OEM plate? I chk w e dealer I got my rizoma from I'm not missing any parts... So now how do I remove e centre cap frm e OEM pressure plate...

knock it out, grease it then knock it into the rizoma star pressure plate. thats what raymond did for mine.

Gosh! It really a pity. Another rare find going to be gone.

Maybe can get the spare when it deregister. The rims and front fork will be some great stuff to get.
