i just went there last sun.. nice place to chillout :p

There is someone out there for me

I know there is someone out there

I know she is waiting so patiently yeah

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

How does she cry?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Where is this beautiful girl?Who is she? Who is she?

Who is gonna complete my world?

Yeah! Sis. Perhaps one day we could do a night meetup for the ducatis there. Lotsa space for bikes. Secluded area away from noisy crowd and traffic.

Best of all, i have got 10% for foods. Lololol

Hi blackreplica, saw some used rims at Ducati.ms for sale at classified. You may want to take a look.

Btw, legal exhaust, care to share the brand and damage?

Thanks for the tip bro. I've actually got my eye on a used set of 10 spoke forged marchesinis (the aftermarket version, not the stock 1198 version). Its sitting around waiting for a buyer but i thought of using up the tyres first then changing the wheels one shot

For the exhaust part. I think a few pages back i had this long write up where i visited pretty much every major motorcycle aftermarket exhaust agent in singapore trying to find street legal cans for my 996 (not an easy task since this bike is already 2 generations and nearly 20 years old if you count the time when the 916 came out). Arrow, Akra, GPR, Quat-D, Leo Vince, Yoshi, Remus, Zard.

Basically for the 748/916/996/998 generation. there are only 2 options left which are available. Quat-D (mega expensive, close to 3.5K for the slipons) and GPR (about 1.8K for CF/Titanium, slight cheaper for stainless steel)

So i went with the GPR in CF. It's on order and should get here in about a month or so. I've used GPR before on my old monster 400 and they are ok overall. Not the best, but definitely no major complaints. In terms of build quality they are on par with termis (i still find akras have the best build quality and Zards look the absolute best)

But one thing for sure, since it's legal, its not going to roar like race cans. But it will be much louder than stock. And you have the option to remove the silencer if you wish. What I like about GPR pipes is that the removable silencer is mounted such that when it is removed, it is impossible to tell visually that you did that, without completely disassembling the pipes

My plan is to debadge it, and replace it with termi stickers (i already bought 2 sets of foil-backed termi stickers, exactly the same size and design as you see on the regular termis). If I can't debadge without causing damage, then i'll probably pull off the silencers and ride around with the GPR logo (no one will pull me over since no TP expects a duc owner in his right mind to ride around with GPRs (i.e. not Termis) unless it was street legal)

Gonna really have fun getting pulled over "sorry boss, no kopi money for you today, its just Termi stickers on a set of street legal cans". Really looking forward to it, in fact. Not because i hate TP doing their jobs (in case that troll papabread is still lurking here). On the contrary, I want to make them work harder, because I enjoy seeing them work so hard on my taxpayer dollars

Well if you intend to do tat, my advice is better dun show your bike pics in the forum as u dunno who is viewing this thread. As for your info, so long as the exhaust have been tampered, the authorities still can summon u and the fine amount is same as illegal exhaust. All i can said is the authorities are getting more technically educated and they are not easily taken by our excuses. So ride safe and carefully bro....

The best thing is to take out the Termi stickers off the pipes, harder for TP or LTA to visualy see..i got stopped by LTA as well..ask me go inspection the next day...

Hi bro blackreplica, i did read up your long search of various brand of exhaust back then.

But didn't realise you go ahead getting the gpr.

I recon what bro skywheel say. Any tamping is still consider illegal mod. There is thousand of reason if they really mean business. I do remember my collegue went through round of inspection due his old car have welding on his broken exhaust. They still classified his exhaust illegal mod and fine him. Asking how to solve his problem and getting new exhaust is the answer. Lucky he appeal and went through round of inspection before finally being waived.

TBH i'm quite sure there is no rule that prevents you from putting a sticker on any part of your bike including the mufflers. But not 100% confirm of course. Since i intend to debadge it, it also comes down to how the GPR badge is affixed to the mufflers. If it's riveted, then removing the rivets to debadge would probably be considered a modification since you can only remove the rivets by drilling into them, thereby exposing the rivet holes. But if its a sticker, I can just peel it off or even put the sticker over the original and the rest of the pipe remains intact/legal. I checked the designs but GPR pipes come with many different ways of affixing the badge. Some types are riveted, others are just stickers. Have to see what type is mine when the pipes actually arrive.

Sticker:

I reckon the worst they could do is compel me to go for inspection. I have no problem with that since i live 2 mins from LTA..haha

P.S I personally wouldn't risk running race cans with no stickers. Having no marking implies you have something to hide, i think TP would pick up on that pretty quickly

Be patience my fren, dun be like me LOL

Haha its pretty hard to be patient with all these exciting stories going on here....but i will try my best! :)

Actually i regret not joining the group BEFORE buying my 1st Ducati. I join only after I bought my Supersport. I might have chosen otherwise (like 748SP in 155 replica colours) if i had joined earlier.... If u need info/advice, come in person and ask. Pple here dun type long stories too well...

The 848 EvoSP only got 1, the serial number plate on the tripple clamp is 001/001.:clapping:

Thanks for the advice... Been dropping by Minerva and Excel ... Will find some time to join you guys too!

As a new duc (superbike) owner myself, I'm happy to welcome you to the club. I too have yet to join the meetups but will do so soon. Looking forward to meeting you as well. What bike(s) do you have in mind?

Thanks! Thanks! More inclined to the superbikes.. Used 1198 or 1098... Am considering the 848 evo too... last heard limited stock for new..

but end of the day, ducati is about the superbike..... and the 916 is just legendary!

Gotta disagree with you this time bro. Ducati is about the desmo. It may be monster 400, it may be a multistrada, it may be a desmoseidici.... They are all machines built with passion and everyone of them uniquely desmodromic!

Agree. However, the desmo just got whacked by Suzuki last Sunday. :box:

Without desmo it will just as same as another ordinary bike.

I love my Italian steed but I do love my Jap superbike too. Different flavours but there's nothing much to ascertain one's superiority over the other. Ride what feels good and enjoy the ride.

So looks like no one here's going for the Ducati Track Day? Rev Club is having another session the week after. Fyi for the track junkies. :)
