Hey guys, just new some enlighten on this.

Ohlins vs Bitubo

Wats ur pick and y?

As I'm considering either 1 or might just rebuilt my current stock rear suspension...

Any difference etc... Feel free to enlighten me here... :p

I'd say buy ohlins. You can easily get a secondhand ohlins rear shock which is direct bolt in for your bike. Just service the shock, respring for your weight, set compression, rebpund, ride height and you're good to go. The bitubo option will be more costly because you have to buy new, and local support is harder to find. IMO unless your last name is stoner or rossi i doubt you could tell a difference between either bitubo or ohlins as long as they're both properly set up.

Thanks! But even if I were to have the stock suspension to be properly set up will there be much difference between thi and ohlins?

Either both is fine,

After mkt suspensions is for comfort and safety,

and you will enjoy ur ride after fixing one.

If rebuilding is cheaper, mayb a good option too.

In which to say just rebuilding my current shocks is good enough?

Instead of getting a after market?

U might wanna explore the option to install ohlin springs during a rebuilt. U can order them from sporting motors. But usually they are uprated spring ratings.

During a rebuilt. As long as ur complain is that ur shocks are too soft, ur mecha would use a heavier weigh fork oil. This alone would usually reduce compression. But no effect on rebound.

As an owner of an Ohlins equipped bike. If talking 'stock' ohlins (i.e. not the high dollar TTX/Road & Track stuff) vs stock Showas. My personal opinion is the only difference is bragging rights (which to me still has value, bahahaha). What really matters is getting the right spring rates and damper settings. Do it right and you wont be able to tell a difference between them

Thanks for e feedbacks!!

Still having a thinker of should I go for e TTX as do I really need to go for these extends and so... Haha

Seems quite clear... Bye bye bitubo and hello ohlins... Hahaha

I would agree to the getting the correct spring rate and damper settings is the key. There is a difference between stock and aftermarket shocks. The degree of difference is down to the user (mainly).

In the brief... You get what you pay for.

While the recommended servicing interval is 24k, I found that my hub was worn out at 12k. I replaced it then.

I suspect this extra wear could arise if you use it to commute (or track) and engage/disengage the clutch frequently.

It's not really expensive if you get it off ebay. Along with timing belt, just change frequently for peace of mind.

I'm not refering to brand specific and correct me if i'm wrong.

But to my knowledge, ducati original hub is made out of steel. Only the newer baskets are made out of aluminum (older baskets were made from steel which gave the extremely loud and annoying "ting ting ting" sound ) Clutch plates are still made from steel. As aluminum is a softer metal compared to steel, its wear is alot faster when working with steel. DP clutch plates are made out of alum.
