Riding jacket is a MUST. But then it also depends on indivual jugak. But if u'r thinking of safety for yourself, pls do wear one. Beg, borrow, buy or steal if u must. Riding jacket offer some kind of protection for your body from the wind, debris from other vehicle etc, etc

 

If ur jacket is not the waterproof / water resistant type, pls bring raincoat also. You don't want to ride when u'r wet. Sejuk and kecut beb..

 

Gloves and helmet also a must.. Kalau fullface lagik bagus, tapi i've seen people with normal helmet too. Tapi between a fullface and open face helmet, i choose fullface anytime esp for long distance riding.

 

Gloves.. any type of gloves will do.. but fully recommend a leather glove esp on the palm side. Full leather pon ok.. it's much better than mesh gloves. But of cos, it's slightly hotter den mesh..

 

GP tu Gelang Patah. It's the R&R ( rest & relax ) area kau nampak after kau clear the 1st toll after the malaysian custom. Dun't worry, it's easy to go.

 

 

- Clear Spore custom @ Tuas. Standby cashcard amt, $0.60 ( masih this amt kan? ). When waiting for your passport to clear by the officer, silalah masukkan cashcard at the slot available. Choose motorcycle, jgn choose lain, nanti bayar lebih pulak..

 

- after clearing spore custom, just head straight to malaysia custom, keep to the left as u'r nearing the custom as the motorcycle lane is on the left side. Clear malaysia custom.

 

- standby $1.60RM ( thx adik fazer for the correction ) for toll. Again the toll booth for bikes is on the left hand side.

 

- After clearing toll, continue journey.. The 1st exit u meet will be Pelabuhan exit. Go straight. After that exit, keep left. Exit the next available exit. Before u see this exit, u'll see a signboard showing u Gelang Patah R&R.. after exitting just head straight, u'll see kedai makan, money changer and esso. Petronas is just after Esso. These 2 petrol stations are the very 1st petrol station u see after clearing the tolls. You can never miss it

that's the best description i can give.. as detailed as i can.. hehhe

 

enjoy ur 1st riding. May it will trigger on the touring side of you, just like it did to me when i rode my s4. Ride safe. Listen to tips or pointers others give u. Ask for some handsign to communicate with another rider while riding. Ride according to your limit. If u think it's not alright or half the 50-50 feeling with u, don't do it. Check mirrors every now and then even at 140km/h.

 

lastly.... ENJOY!! if u come back with a big grin in ur face, there's more available further up north.
