If your bike has the side lock mechanism, it means it is really old. Dont worry, the thief wont bother stealing your bike. Thief also got some standard wat

 

They wont steal the whole bike..they will use your bike for spare parts..hahaa ..anyway it's always a good investment to get a alarm..as you can always transfer it onto the next bike..or use it as a extra feature to sell your bike.. Cheers..

Hmm. My bike can be easily.stolen. the handle bar won't lock after taking the key out. Anyone has installed security alarms on their phantoms? Care to share?

 

Had one installed on my phantom before i sold off the bike...the brand is steel mate...the remote came with a key which flips out when you press a button..pretty much looked like a car remote.. alarm was insanely loud.. could do a remote start etc..and was pretty cheap..

Get a disc lock. Cheapest n most effective security IMO..

Try open up cover & check air filter.

I got this problem also when going uphill. After change air filter problem solved

Try check at ahboy la. if not can try get original at honda parts dealer like eversuccess or fjt.

got mine ytd at ah boy. They tell me they got no stock but still told me to wait a while. 20 mins later one guy cycled to the shop with my cover LOL. Paid 5 bucks for it and it's definitely not brand new.

I am a new biker, think the Phantom suits me and this country as I am happy to cruise at 65km/hr, safe that I can dodge the potholes and dogs.

 

1. Been searching the internet to find which is the mixture screw, I think it is bottom left and in to weaken, can anyone confirm?

 

2. Plug is a little sooty and think it is currently 2 turns out, should be 1 1/2 out. Interesting as I am getting 120+mpg, or 42km/litre, average over 1000km, which I think is good, the bike has covered 52k, is it?.

 

3. They fill my tank up with the bike on it's side stand and goes just over 230km before switching to reserve, then I get just under 5 litres in. That's not much, does it really take much more when upright?

 

4. Also I need a new battery any suggestions?

Battery can get from LAB less than $50 if I'm not wrong.

Inclusive of ur reserve ryt? First thing to check is ur air filter? Wen was it last changed? Cud be ur carb dirty but rarely happens in phantom. Usually no nd to touch at all. Is it suddenly or have been like this for some time?
